@furballdn: Basically what 28927.2brainz said.  Not only is it an affordable (card-number-wise) way to build up a strong attacker, but a flying Excelsior is also airborne.

As implied above, the loop is one of the few ways to keep this card from becoming underpowered. There's nothing wrong with spending 2 :light and 1 :air to create a 1:1 damage-to-cost attacker (in the form of multiple blessings on a single creature).

The loop does keep it from being underpowered, but then again, it's still deadly.

50 :light and 10 :air is an OHKO. More :light lets you OHKO through DR shields.
This itself is deadly, but the fact that it only takes 4 cards and 2 elements to pull off this combo is...just evil.
(It's worse than fire bolt! @_@)

2/3 :light and 1 air/random to fly Excelsior.
2 :light for +3/+3 and 3 :light from then after. Fractal/RoL will have many crappy hands with Saders/AW and Excelsiors.
Cremation does not affect the balance of Steam Machine, Graviton Fire Eater, and Fire Spirit.

In conclusion, I believe it's balanced.

What happens if you have no blessings left in your deck?

If the ability actually creates new blessings for you each time, then its not an issue, though you definitely need a cap of some kind. Either per turn or per game.

If the ability simply looks for a blessing from your deck, then the balance is automatic and no cap is needed since it would automatically be capped by the 6 card per deck rule.
