As many of you have noticed, chat is having a major issue at the moment and cannot be accessed by anyone at this point in time. 

If you wish to chat with other members and/or ask for advice about Elements the Game, please use this as an alternate chatroom until this situation is fixed:  http://www.chatspike.net/webchat/

Once there, select a nickname to use and select #elementsthegame as the channel.  Standard chat protocol still applies.

Note that Weekly Tournaments will be held in #elementstournament unless the complication is fixed before the weekend rolls around.  This thread will also be bumped (unless it's deleted for some reason) any time that chat faces a problem like this again, so there should be no need for everyone to start a new thread about this problem every time that it occurs.

i am sorry to disturb u here... but i cannot access the chat room... the screen is loading but it just will not finish loading.... is there any software needed to be in the chat room.... if we are using any proxy, we will not be able to access the chat room already is it??

You shouldn't need any software or chat clients, and I haven't heard of a proxy server causing any problems yet.

Sometimes the Mibbit IP will be temporarily banned from networks because too many Mibbit users have signed on during a short period of time. That's usually the issue. Wait a minute or two and you should be able to join or, even better, get a proper IRC client.

You may also find it's worth to check if your in-browser JavaScript runs properly.

Damn. New here and was hoping to try out the main chat. But I've been using Chatspike for 4-5 years now so no biggie. ;p

That was using zblader's direct link just now.  I haven't used chat in over six hours.

When I try connecting without the direct link I paste the channel name from will's opening post and I'm directed to an empty chat room.   ???  The only plus side is that nobody argues with me there no matter how attractive I claim to be.

I think the z-lines (IP-wide server ban) only last a minute or two.

If you enter an empty room, you've made an error with the name. Having two # is common.

it seems i still have a problem wit the mibbit..... but at least i know there is no software or proxy problem.... i will try to figure out the reason.... thanks
