Why not have the upped only affect the opponent, but for one turn?

I see your point.  That's possibly a better variant, but we'll see.

It comes from a concept of a increased gravitational pull.  However, saying gravitational on a gravity card is... redundant.

Well, the problem with that is that when the card is destroyed/removed from the field, the health should return to normal.  In the case of the Voodoo Dolls, while a mechanic may inflict damage, it will just heal the respective targets after the card wears off.

Since heavier creatures (like Titan, Armagio, and Massive Dragon) have more HP, why would increasing the gravitational pull on a creature decrease its HP?

Note: Healing a Voodoo Doll doesn't heal the opponent.

Well, the way I saw it was that.  Higher health means heavier creature.  So, with the increased gravity induced by the card, would it not be harder for the heavier creatures to move, making them easier prey for the smaller, nimbler creatures that are hardly affected.  Since there isn't a variable for speed and how it affects damage without altering power, the next best thing would be to cut health.

I'd say, thematically, it would be better if the card halved attack rather than Hp, or maybe only damaged airborne creatures (as they fall to the ground). The point that they are easier prey is kind of moot because creatures rarely attack eachother.
