Upped version is equivalent to a 5 attack creature at a cost of two quanta. Furthermore, you have less ways to deal with it, because there are only 4 PC cards. Voodoo & icebolt included, that makes 6. Compare to all the CC cards in existence... And it's more resistant than a normal creature.

As a cherry on the top, it's fractable. Although since that require a three card combo, i'm not too sure about that combo being too powerful.

Compare to Frog (same attack). It's harder to kill, but also harder to spam (Frog is a prime target for Mitosis/Fractal). I'd consider lowering the damage of both by 1, but I'd like some other opinions.

Also, frogs are susceptible to wings, fire shield, thorn & Mass CC (pande, RoF, thunderstorm).

Umm.. Are you sure Air needs another cheap weapon besides Longbow, and its already cheap (and powerful) shields? This way Throwing Knife would make Eagle/Owl's Eye almost completely forgettable for its cost.

At least make it lose a knife for each attack, you're throwing it anyways. Or make it something like Bonewall (for an increased cost, of course) to have a fixed number of knives (attacks) when you play it.

interesting concept, but i think beyond that it probably isn't workable after fractal considerations and the added bonus of pc resistance, seems leaps and bounds beyond the potential of ffq

if fractal was removed from the equation similarly to how mitosis was, i think stackable weapons could work. but i recall how simple and effective flying mitosis daggers was, and this seems like it would be just as bad in combination with fractal.

I believe most weapons get a -3 cost reduction from requiring a entire weapon slot. This weapon does not.
I believe most permanents cost 150% as much as a similar creature. (Not as sure about the magnitude of the increase)

2 attack stacking permanent costs 2 :air + 1 card
4 attack stacking permanent costs 5 :air + 1 card

Do you lose the throwing knife when you attack? I assume not, but that'd be quite weird when it's a "throwing knife", yet you keep it after you attack. This looks insanely powerful when coupled with fractal. A question I have is how is it affected by shields. If your opponent has a regular shield up, and you have 3 throwing knives, do you deal 5 damage or 3 damage?

5 damage.

@OldTrees: A 5 :air 'vanilla' 4-attacker is, I believe, virtually useless, regardless of it being a permanent. Especially upgraded. I think upgraded Throwing Knife is comparable to Minor Phoenix (which is easier to Fractal and requires two cards to get rid of).
