something along those lines, it isnt terribly important, but being stronger at the beginning and losing strength throughout would thematically make sense so lets just go with 5-3-2 and 6-4, respectively.

I dunno. This card feels a little.....Strong.

Puns aside, it feels pretty powerful. PC and 10 damage? That's insanely useful. +1 to casting cost is my opinion.

the issue is that the permanent will remain usable for the player for 3 turns, 2 upgraded.  it isnt the instant boom that deflag gives for the same 3 quanta (2 upgraded).  and 10 damage over 3/2 turns could easily be obtained/surpassed from playing a creature like flesh recluse, which doesnt have a finite duration.

Still, a relatively cheap water card guaranteeing 10 points of damage is pretty good, especially since it's coupled with permanent removal. The theme of this card would to be used in a stall deck, since it takes time for the acid to take it's full effect.

I think the card is balanced, fits into water well, and is a great idea.

Although I think that renaming it Acid | Base  would fit better, since a base is a strong acid.

acids and bases have to deal with the pH of a solution on a scale from 1-14 (7 being neutral, approximately the pH of H2O), a low pH (under 7) is acidic, very low pHs are strongly acidic (closer to 1 than 7).  bases have high pHs (over 7), strong bases have very high pHs (closer to 14 than 7) - this is all assuming i can still remember my chemistry from highschool and college.

An acid is a substance that accepts hydroxide ions, and a base is not a substance that accepts more hydroxide ions but a substance that accepts hydrogen ions.
An acid with a pH of 1 is more caustic than a base with a pH of 8.

lol. As the guys up already have said, Acid just means a hydrogen donor while a base is a hydrogen acceptor. How strong something's acidity or base is dependent on the pH level.

Maybe base would be a new card whose only effect would be to get rid of acid.

The card looks nice btw, it's like infect but for permanents. Comparing with Unstable Gas, it seems balanced to me.
