ART: Astrid IDEA: Naesala NOTES: Based on darkrobes Holtzman's Shield over which I had essentially done everything but the thematic and since the name was copyrighted and darkrobe already has cards in the crucible, I was given control of the card. Creatures who could normally not attack include creatures who are frozen, delayed, or stopped by sundial or Shard of Patience. To all other creatures this is essentially a dimensional shield. This should provide the strong shield that Gravity needs and fall somewhere between dimensional shield and wings. SERIES:

We have working tables! Seriously, I have no idea why that was so hard. ANyways, on to talking about the card itself!

There were undetected typos in the original table code. Don't ask me where though. I didn't detect them.

Momentum would ignore this shield effect correct?

Yeah, we came to the conclusion that we didnt want to mess around with blocking the unblockable.

Bump. Does this still need work? Is it ready to move on? is it to out there and need to be scrapped?

I think it's an interesting variation on the "timed shields" idea that falls somewhere between Phase Shield and Wings. However, it feels like there are very few cards that can counter this ( ,  ,  have ~5 cards total that can make a creature attack without possibly killing it), but lasts one more turn than Phase Shield. I think those factors balance out, but others may have a different opinion.

EDIT : And Gravity too, but that works on all shields. Not sure if that counts.

momentum (can be applid to any creature)

cards to deal with 4 turn holtzman: 8 from 4 elements + potentially all creatures
Freeze (can be applied to any creature)
Arctic octopus (can be applied to any creature)
iridium warden(can be applied to any creature)
basilisk blood (can be applied to any creature)
sundial (will be applied to all creatures)
chaos seed (sometimes) (any creature)
pandemonium (sometimes) (all creatures)
Shard of Patience (all creatures)

It may still need some balancing, but I feel it's fair. Plus this is more expensive than dimensional shield, and mono grav is much weaker than mono aether
