Fun fact #1: I've said several times that the universe will tip duels in my favor only when the Triple Threat is together at the same time. We were together for the first time and suddenly, I win.

Wings would've been worse probably, but I didn't need a mirror match to hurt my chances. However, it appears that Lightnings took the place of Dims which ultimately saved my neck.
Round 1: Played cautiously at first, not knowing if he had EQs or Lightnings. After seeing his first play I rationalized that the deck probably didn't have enough EQs to make a difference. Early Lightnings fried my Frogs, but I had backups in hand so it didn't matter. He TU'd his first Dragon which prompted me to start my Dim chain; I now knew what deck was being used. Dim Shield did not appear against me this time. 1-0
Round 2: Both of us had 2 Pend starting hands and with my creatures being cheaper to play I figured this put me at a big advantage. Frogs got fried again, but I got out nice timely Fractals and Dim Shield did not appear to slow me down yet again. 2-0
Round 3: This one made me nervous. I got a really early Fractal and spammed ALL the Frogs I could since he wasn't using Lightnings on them this time. Started chaining Dim Shields at about 54HP and then I see his first Dim Shield. Crap. My first Shield expired when his was played, so from there it was just a matter of drawing enough Shields to outlast his Shield chain. Considering I had 3 more in my hand after the first expired, this wasn't hard to do. Burst on the last turn, resulting in overkill damage. 3-0
