Dual Element Project

I am changing this thread to hold  Dual Element Backgrounds.




As the marks get made I will update images.
I would like to ask Thalas,  Kamietsu, Zblader, Krava and any other artist to help work on this.
TheManuz is working on the marks, but I would like others to join him so that we can have all 66 soon.
66 Marks and 66 backgrounds are needed, then we can have a challenge or a competition designed for making Dual Element ideas.

My personal favorite is TheManuz's. Although it was confusing when I first saw it, it seems to represent light and darkness well originally.

I actually thought for a second that, I might only consider this my favorite because I've seen it around in the last few days. Though I liked your design at first, being more clear to the first-time viewers that it is a mix between light and darkness even without explanation. However, it seems that it has been made rather quickly. Small edits (such as the border around 'dark' side that makes it look slightly larger) to make it look natural would be nice

On Kami's version, I thought that the colors were way to centered on 'darkness', to the point that I imagined a dark creature coming out of a hole..sorry

I'll be honest with my opinion. option one looked a bit too simple, there wasn't much shading. Option 3 looked a bit too artificial with the line being perfectly split down the center. Option 2 has shading and looks very good, ,like it was naturally blended together.

I need help with the one for Lither.

1 could use a smoother transition between it's  and  borders.
2 and 4 look pretty good.
3's elemental sections clash too much, IMHO - it seems like a rectangle patch of bubbles somehow magically avoided being set on fire.

Otherwise, looks pretty nice.

I looked at them for a while trying to look for good comments, but then I got really dizzy x-x
Kind of think that all of them except for 4 (and to a certain extent 1) looked too flashy and colorful, but does that change when you actually put in a picture and text at the bottom?

I can help out some when I get my resources back. If you check my Biology Mark for the pseudo-element competition, that background is 100% my own creation and I'd enjoy creating some new designs for background to dual elements.

The water/fire one looks a bit too cut out. I feel it could do better being more "blended together"
