War SongWar Speech It was a dark and moonless night, the stars themselves were shrouded by clouds, the only light cast by the Flames burning in the temple. Seven elementals cloaked in darkness entered the Temple of Everburning Flame, Fire's greatest monument to its Reign in the Twelve Kingdoms. As the elementals approached the alter the Flame sputtered and choked, billows of black smoke poured from the temple mount and the night grew darker still. Until finally the shadows cast around the temple courtyard blurred into one and the flame itself, while still burning, ceased to cast any light. In the shadow of that dark flame they waited, waited for the arrival of their master. Finally after what seemed an eternity of waiting a voice spoke out of the darkness.
"My loyal servants", spoke the deep rumble. "Our history has been marked with war, and while new masters and new kingdoms take their place we endure. Long ago our enemies cast us out of the Nine Kingdoms, they sought to destroy us, to deprive us of our power. They thought to deprive us of light and so we made darkness our tool, a hammer with which to bend these kingdoms to our will, and a forge with a flameless fire hot enough to bend even Fire itself into our image. No longer will we be the outcasts, no longer will we be the denied, no longer will our names be forgotten and our craft be ignored. We will reshape this land, no longer Twelve Kingdoms but One. One Eternal Darkness to rule over the twelve masters, one shadow in which they cloaked, one Master to which they will answer and one people for whom they will answer."All credits go to vrt for making this awesome banner for us!
