This was an efficient deck before 1.32, but it’s unfortunately not as effective nowadays. Some changes would be needed. To start with - the focus of the deck:
The point and state of the deck is to play Chrysaoras frequently, poisoning the opponent with the Chrysaoras and the occasional Deathstalker. All this, while the Shard of Patience makes the Chrysaoras much more effective.
This is good, but as it’s written in the OP:
“It’s not Immorush fast.” This is the main concern of this deck. The fastest decks in the game, such as Immorush, SNbow or Mono Life, easily outrush it. Toxic Avenger has no elements of control or domination.
In my opinion, the deck should be even more death-based than it already is. With only four pendulums as death quantum sources, you cannot utilize the Chrysaoras as well as you could. To add on this, Deathstalkers doesn’t poison the opponent while SoPed. Death quanta usage will need a change.
So, a short recap of what changes which has to be done:
• Rebalance for 1.32
• Change Death quanta usage
• OPTIONAL: Add more elements of control
First off, the rebalancing. After testing some games, I noticed that I was usually low on Water quanta. I could not Mitosis as often as I would like. On the other hand – playing more than one SoP does not matter anymore, as they don’t stack. I still wished I had more Water quanta at times, though. As I mentioned, the Deathstalkers takes important card spaces.
Change:- 2 Deathstalkers
+ 1 Death Pendulum
+ 1 Life Pendulum
Tada! While I removed the close to useless Deathstalkers, I got room for more quanta. Now we can Mitosis the Chrysaoras even faster, while giving the Death quanta a focus: Poison.
With the boring part done, we can now focus on the fun part: Improving the deck! We can go two routes with this deck now:
a) The Rush Route
b) The Control Route
a) The Rush RouteIt’s possible to make this deck even faster, although very few changes are needed. Six SoPs aren’t necessary. We’ll survive with four. So what do we replace them with? In any non-rainbow rush deck, Long Swords are staple cards. Dealing six damage for one random quantum and attacking while SoPa is delaying the field. This makes Long Sword a fantastic card in this deck.
Change:
-2 Shard of Patience
+2 Long Sword
b) The Control RouteThe deck takes a rather big change here. As Essence said:
“It’s not Immorush fast.” It’s actually quite slow compared to the fastest rushes. How do we deal with that? Make the deck bigger, and add more control elements (yay pun). Let’s start the overhaul!
The Death Pendulums are there only to make the deck faster, which is not something we need now. I’ll scrap them, and voila, the deck is now a Water/Life duo.
When you think about Water and control, what cards come to your mind? Let me guess: Arctic Octopus and Permafrost Shield. In this deck, I’ll use Permafrost Shield.
Sundials are fantastic in upped metagame, and especially when playing a SoP domination deck. Those make the deck much better.
To make the deck even harder to beat, I added five Feral Bonds. Feral Bond and Mitosis makes a great combo, and it has its place in the deck.
To end all of these changes, I added three copies of Inundation. Not only making the Chrysaoras stronger – they remove all but five opposing critters.
Change:- 5 Death Pendulum
- 1 Shard of Patience
+ 5 Feral Bond
+ 9 Life Pendulum
+ 3 Permafrost Shield
+ 3 Inundation
+ 6 Sundial
