It's such an obvious idea that I'm wracking my brain trying to remember if it's been done already.  Sign of a solid concept for sure, though this would totally replace Parasite...

Interesting. A new Ruby dragon slayer ... It is nice but maybe to close to oty. Did you consider something like that?

Obviously slower killing is less synergistic with death but here you can picture the strength living the body of the enemy (needs one more turn to slay the dragon though).

i had thought of something that, but i thought it may be even *more* powerful to decrease attack and hp.  i just figured -2hp = +1 atk +1hp.  also, this isnt mutually exclusive with parasite, their elements are reversed so you could easily have a deck with both to speed up kills- also parasite is a dot so you can safely apply it once and then move on, the total damage of siphon strength is 2 and must be applied each turn.  compared to oty which makes something go away in a flash- with relative hp in mind.  this is also a duo card, an important distinction from oty- even if death and darkness is one of the stronger synergies out there.

Definitely stick with +1 to attack, no more - +2 would be too much, you'd have Growth and mini-Snipe in one card.

I tried putting some Crusader armor on him. This is the result:

I was about to say that this is overpowered, but it's probably about on par with Elite Otyugh, so I'll say that it's powerful but it can stand as currently shown.  It can chip away at a larger creatures health, which the otyugh cannot do, but the otyugh can kill something outright, while this guy takes longer to do it.  Plus this is a duo, while otyugh is mono, so it's harder to use.
