IDEA:
Xenocidius
NOTES:
Passive ability: Hydra, Poisonous
Has a spell-like effect of generating two Hydra Heads when played. It cannot be hatched. It cannot be targeted by Parallel Universe. Cannot be played if Hydra (either upgraded or not) already exists on your side of the field. As in, it clogs your hand.

And the unupped looks better than the upped. Same cost, same stats, and the unnuped head has more health.

Which means it can die more easily and therefore generate more heads.

Yeah, the whole point of a hydra is that you can't just attack its heads.  Thus, you would want the upped heads to die more quickly.  Despite this idea already being in the Armory, I like your version better (no offense to Zblader, who is one of our most distinguished card creators).  Not only are you truer to the mythology, the idea just seems more balanced and flexible.

I agree with johann. Hydra's potential ilimited heads just bugged me, this version is better in my opinion.

No offense taken at all.

Anyway, it's a good card, but I'd just like to make a note of:
Quote
Only one Hydra can be in play at any time.
I tried a card with something similar (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,24594.0.html) to that and got pushed down a bit.
Quote
Once there was a legendary card type "weapon". Now it is no longer a legendary card type. People are happy about that change.
Ajit's hero card idea turned into a Totem Slot where each totem could animate itself.

Legendary leads to dead draws or is unreliable.
The closest ETG should get to Legendary is with something akin to MTG Grandeur keyword involved.
Otherwise, I like it. :)

The only one at a time thing is to prevent confusion with dying heads. It could be changed to make them die if there is not at least one Hydra on the board, but that doesn't make any sense - what, do they just jump from one Hydra to the other? ::)

That's what my version does. :P

In case someone raises an argument similar to Oldtrees - Legendary creatures are sort of like weapons and Shields in a sense - it's not like you wouldn't add any copies at all but rather 2-3 copies so that you have a good chance of drawing it but minimizing the chances of clogging.
