Challenger Battles
Challenger battles have ended.

Challengers will fight each other in a mini-tournament with round-robin rules meaning each challenger fights every other challenger once. Battles are "best-of-five" with the winner gaining 1 point. At the end of the round points are calculated and standings are built.

Modified-mono deckbuilding rules:

• any amount of cards
• up to 6 upgraded cards
• any mark
• up to 6 cards from any element, rest of the cards have to be from your element and 'other'
• no Shards of Gratitude
• deck can be changed at any time, unless there is a desync error. In that case players restart using the same deck

Duels are best-of-five and start right now.  Play your opponents in any order you wish.  Ties will be broken first by head-to-head.  A sudden-death match will only occur if there's a three- or four-way tie.

Post results in the Trials Battle Results forum (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,370.0.html).  If you wish you may report only the score there and wait until you complete Phase 2 to post decks.  If you decide to wait, please keep all deck codes stored somewhere and post your decks immediately following your completion of Phase 2.

Masters Tournament
Round three:has ended.

Masters will fight each other in a mini-tournament that consists of series of "best-of-five" PvP matches. Starting opponents are determined randomly. Points are rewarded based on tournament standings.

This is double-elimination tournament, meaning that a contestant will be eliminated upon having lost two duels. We have two sets of brackets, the winners bracket and losers Bracket. After the first round, the winners proceed into the winners bracket and the losers proceed to losers bracket.  Seeding was determined randomly.

Modified-mono deckbuilding rules:

• any amount of cards
• upgraded cards are allowed
• any mark
• you can take up to 6 cards from any element, rest of the cards have to be from your element and 'other'
• no Shards of Gratitude
• deck can be changed at any time, unless there is a desync error. In that case players restart using the same deck

Duels are best-of-five and start right now, with each round lasting 3 days.  Please play your opponent as soon as possible rather than waiting for the next round to start.  Because the Master's Tournament is double elimination it slows down the whole Trials.  Please do your part to ensure matches get done as quickly as possible.

As for Masters Tournament...
The loser brackets look long yet only the winners of preliminaries fight twice in these 3 days correct? Seems like the loser brackets will be hella busy later on.

OK after thinking things through I should be able to remain in trials. I am just not use to having so little time as compared to when I had just 1 job. If at all possible I would like to remain in the air trials. I should be able to be online at least 6 hours a day even on work days.

There is no preliminary round.  I'd originally had that text in there because we had nine Masters in the tourney and so there was a prelim round.  But then QT dropped from Trials.

An aether pillar is an aether card, an air pendulum is an air card, and a darkness mark card is a darkness card.

wizel has not officially dropped from Trials because he was technically here at the end of War3 and hasn't told anyone that he's droppoing from Trials.  It looks very likely he won't return before the Final Battle, so it will be fought by the top two challengers.

Maybe in future Trials, Masters should have to 'sign up' stating they would like to keep their Mastership, and if they don't, then they are removed.

wizel has not officially dropped from Trials because he was technically here at the end of War3 and hasn't told anyone that he's droppoing from Trials.  It looks very likely he won't return before the Final Battle, so it will be fought by the top two challengers.

I'm assuming the same deal goes with Air now that QuantumT has officially dropped..?
