NOTES:
Basilisk has the exact same ability as Auburn Nymph | Earth Nymph (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2451.0.html). I based it upon Anubis | Elite Anubis (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1941.0.html), which shares the ability of Turquoise Nymph | Aether Nymph (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1898.0.html). From one point of view, this card is extremely overpowered, but from another, its off-element ability and large cost limits its usefulness. I'm thinking the ability cost should be raised, but I want to hear from the community first.

Hmm, yes, I saw the first one. The name is fairly common, being a mythological creature and all. Still, they are all very different cards. Mine is different in that it uses an ability already in-game.

Why this is a valid comparison, and how would the card benefit the game?

If we take this comparison at literal value: With the exact same stats as Anubis (which is generally considered equal to, if not better than, Turquoise Nymph), in a pair of elements with more synergy, and considering Auburn Nymph has very low stats, I think this overshadows Auburn Nymph by quite a bit, in comparison to Anubis vs. Turquoise Nymph.

Well, it gives Darkness a bit more creature control, for one thing. As for Darkness and Earth having more synergy than Time and Aether, you may have forgotten about I've GotP Time, Fractal Scarabs ...

As for having the same stats as Anubis, yes, that was just a starting point. It still has to be refined and I'm open to suggestions.

The HP of Anubis is somewhat irrelevant, anyway, as it can quint itself the second turn it is out. Perhaps the HP of Basilisk should be 1, and it gains a passive ability which makes it immune to the delay brought on by Petrify/Basilisk Blood? I.e., it can give itself 20 extra HP second turn. Of course, that would somewhat undershadow (no pun intended) the ability of Gargoyle, so I'm not sure. Maybe Petrify/Basilisk Blood should just have no effect whatsoever.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
