Just pulled a second Blue Nymph from the Oracle, and I've been playing around with various decks involving Blue nymphs, so I thought I'd give it a shot in the Arena, see how well the AI does playing it.  Related to this, when I've played fg Octane, it doesn't normally use the UGs until you're at least down to half-health or so. Will the AI play this deck like it does Octane?

In slight contrast, this is the deck I've been testing out against the Arena, (thanks to (...) for the idea) and it's worked fairly well, but titans and other momentum-ed creatures tend to be what kills this deck.  I'm considering making the following changes -1 immortal, +2 animate weapons, +2 lobotomizers, +1 owl eye.

So please, if you have any advice, feel free to comment.

Let's take a look at the Arena deck idea.

Before we can analyze this further, we'll need to know a bit more about your account. Do you have enough skill points to afford double/triple mark, double draw, extra HP and all those fancy things? Do you have upgraded cards to work with?

For now, I'll assume that you have enough for some basic things like a double mark and a good chunk of extra HP, but no upgrades to use.

Since you generally won't be igniting those Gases too early, we'll switch to an Air mark with Fire Pendulums and Aether Pillars instead. This will ensure that your :air quanta comes in at a fast enough rate -- more on this later. As for the rest of your card choices, they're pretty solid overall. However, Lobotomizer doesn't really fit in too well with how the deck operates and also interferes with the AI logic a bit. I've also added some Shockwaves for early survival purposes, since getting outrushed hurts, even when you have a good amount of bonus HP padding.

As for the AI logic, it will always Ignite its Unstable Gases when it can. It will play Dimensional Shields when it needs to -- usually when it's down to around 75% HP or so, and will likely automatically play Quintessence on the Blue Nymphs on the turn they come out (provided there is enough quanta to play both at the same time). We need to get more :air quanta flowing, since the AI will only activate abilities when it feels it has "sufficient quanta" (usually around 2.5 times the amount of quanta needed to activate). Otherwise, your Nymphs will never start generating Gases.

Sample Build (assuming 2x mark, and as much HP as you can throw your skill points into):

Code: [Select]
5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5on 5on 5on 5p0 5p0 5p0 5p0 5p0 61o 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 621 621 621 621 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a

To me, the key of this deck is holding on in case of a rush deck until you are able to put those phase shields on, then on most cases, put you're feet up and let the quinted nymphs do the job!

You're suggestion about adding lobo seems great to me because it will take away any momentum deck (dune scorps or sapphire charger mostly) and it will lower the effects of any  growing creature.  You also said you wanted to add an owl's eye as a weapon, but I'd rather use 2 lightnings because they are faster to use in case of a great rush and because it will allow you to concentrate the air quanta only on nymphs.

I would get rid of those immortals because they will be able to come in play after use have been able to play a dimension shield, put a lobotomizer on and probably 1 ligthning... by then it's probably gonna be time you put a second dimension shield on or at least you will need to save  quanta for it.  If the opponent plays deflag/steal those aether quanta becomes even more important so those Immortals will likely not have a chance to do much damage.

This deck will still remain weak against an early discord, or a deck pack with steal if the opponent plays fire also (which is why I removed the fire pends so they can't be stealed).  Other then that, it has a great chance of working.

'Get A Quinted Blue Nymph' was also a deck I started making from when I got my second.

The people above seem to have wanted to build it with Aether being the primary defense. I always built mine with Wings, using Spiders to help, giving longer stall power - you have 30 turns of protection with 6 shields, as well as 5 turn waits between shields, so less likely that you will lose because you couldn't keep chaining them, and meaning you'll have some damage in for when your nymphs decide to show up to the party 17 turns too late.

I personally think that pendulums are still the way to go, most players don't waste their steals on them (and if they do, thats one less steal for your wings).
I've put three quints in, as this deck is much slower than one with more nymphs, you'll be more likely to want to quint a spider.

Little additions that can be thrown in are shockwaves, and explosions (although deflags are not nearly as necessary as one would imagine. All reflective shields are immortal anyway)
The lobotomisers are pretty much invaluable here. Momentum is dangerous, and lots of other abilities can be taken down with it. A maxwells/otyugh as the only forms of CC mean your spiders are going to be safe (and sometimes even your nymphs) and can do their thing.

This deck is best used manually, and really fun when it works just how you want it to.

Replace unstable gas with blue nymph, I had no blue nymph and I don't feel like searching through codes.

I am not saying this idea is great but I do think it is something that might inspire you.
It combos off immolation and dragon fly. You can fuel 7 Unstable gas like this So it has limits.
I was thinking of making it 31 cards so it can stall, but the great thing is if you go first then stall is another option you have for winning.
The deck in your first post I felt might be heavy on aether quanta however I forgot that phase shields stall ( lol ) and took that into account. Should be ok on Quanta. Overall I like your build, it has more than 1 option for damage like immortals. It is a fairly straightforward deck but can be countered by EQ fairly had as you need alot of quanta and split your piller in such a way that with your current deck build destroying any of them could be too much to come back from.
You might also want to think about changing 1 or 2 cards at a time and see what happens, and take notes of what helps alot and what don't. Another Labo could prove priceless indeed, or heck maybe for the damage another immortal. Silence is also a good card as it can delay a combo for a turn or give you another turn to win, or stop something like stone skin or miracle if you can guess it right.

Wow, I actually had a play around myself with this sort of deck for similar reasons, more for use than as an arena deck. This is where the deck is at so far.

Gotten some pretty awesome kills with it, it's pure joy too. Feels like it might need to be made into a more concise stall, SoGs may be welcome I'd guess. Another route I'm thinking is more quints, phase spiders and wingsstall.

*Edit: Just saw DD's comments, Doh!*

More quints help serve the purpose to quint a nymph and a firefly. I'll probably come back to this thread and update soon after I'm done tweaking.

Seriously though, epic fun to play.
