Apogee quanta costs are all paid out of whatever quanta pool currently has the most quanta in it.  Any one apogee cost is paid out of a single pool of quanta -- if two or more are tied for fullest, one is selected at random and the entire cost is paid from that pool.  If no pool has enough quanta to pay the apogee cost, the ability cannot be activated/card cannot be cast. Similarly, apogee quanta that gets generated goes into the pool that has the most quanta currently in it -- or, if there's a tie for fullest, a randomly chosen one of those pools. In this case, the Bell/Gong take quanta out of your fullest pool and spread the love around to everone else.  : 1 Mirror Quanta.  (Full credit for the idea of Mirror Quanta belongs to Hyroen (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,27009.msg367261#msg367261).) Mirror quanta are used to denote 1 quanta matching your mark. No longer will we have to explain that the cost must match the mark. Other quanta has always been used to refer to an absolute amount of quanta regardless of elemental affinity. In my opinion, this is one view, and can be denoted by . The problem with Other quanta has always been the balancing issue that arises by the playing of Cremation or Supernova. SERIES:

We're going crazy with the pseudoquanta and I'm loving it.

Do the 12 Apogee quanta needed for the activated skill reduce by 12 quanta chunks, or does it shift as the Apogee quanta shifts to come from another element?

I wonder what Zanzarino will be/is thinking about all this pseudoquanta business.

 I think this should answer your question:
