Obviously, it's effect is best against Vamp dagger, Arsenic, Titan, Morningstar, and Fahrenheit. I suppose this does not carry over to flying weapons?

The unupgraded does not block flying weapons.
The upgraded does block flying weapons, but it doesn't ignore momentum so Titan can get past it.

I can visualize an offshoot weapon card idea called a Sai.  Low attack power, neither player's weapon attacks if Sai is opposed.

Blocking flown weapons is too powerful for 1 , even though that's fairly situational.  This should be limited to the weapon slot... and I don't think Titan should ever be blocked.

I agree with johannhowitzer, it seems silly for the Momentum to be negated by the same type of card it affects, although it would be nice to have lobotomy for weapons.  For flying weapon blocking, maybe you could have it reduce all damage from weapons by 6 or something, so that some could theoretically get through in a flying weapon deck?

Also, silver is a very soft metal.  I'd recommend steel.

Looks like blocking Titan for unupped wasn't a good idea, removed the Momentum effect.
Changed Silver Buckler to Steel Buckler - all weapons do 6 less damage. Thanks Manipul8or!

Neat idea.  Why not make it Gravity however?  Gravity's Shield is good but situational, this might help.  Also, does the Steel Buckler block your weapon damage as well?  Its implied by "all".

The normal version is currently more powerful than the upped version, since they're the same cost.  A Morning Glory would deal zero damage with the Bronze, 2 with the Steel.  Maybe change the Bronze to 4-5 or something, that will still block an Arsenic.  Or just reverse the two, that way Fahrenheit will be sad.

I think I felt that Earth needed a special shield
Just enemy weapon damage. I suppose I should've been more specific, I'm used to shields saying that phyiscal damage is reduced by X and leaving it at that.

Yeah, I'm probably just going to stick with damage reduction on all weapons.

Why? Theorectically it should be possible for a shield to just block weapons if it was too unreliable to effectively counter creatures.
