[Boingo]

We had a little trouble starting as TimerClock14 was missing 2 cards which I assumed to be rares.  He was instructed to play with dead cards instead which most likely affected the outcome of the duel.  Then again, any number of cards could have ruined my very risky deck but miraculously they never appeared (pun intended.)

First match went mostly according to plan.   Favorite line by TimerClock14 (ala Admiral Ackbar,) once he realizes things are going a little too easily for him: "Oh SH-T! You have miracle, don't you!?"  He BB'ed his own shriekers to reduce light quanta generation, but I managed to miracle once (or twice?) and eventually poison caught up with him.  Discord showed up too late to matter.



It's a Trap!





Second match had 1 pendulum in the first 11 or 12 cards, but finally got a solar shield up to build quanta.  He deflagged my solar shield with 2 shriekers and 2 grabbies in place, but I replaced it next turn.  Did not see Discord this time around.



He explodes my shield, only to have it replaced seconds later.

GGs, TimerClock14.  I don't mind winning but it sucks you had to bring dead cards.  I would have crapped my pants if you brought purify too (the card I was dreading even more than Discord.)

Due to some complications, I ended up having to replace 2 discords with "dead cards." The shards you see are replacements for those discords.

Game 1: I was rushing well with my grabbies from the start. I became wary from the death mark and even more so when he belted out an arsenic. The moment I saw the solar shield I knew that he'd go with miracle. I was too late, however, in my attempt to BB my shriekers so they would not attack, and at the same time keeping them from dying at the hand of his plagues. By the time I got that strategy in full swing, he had miracled. I would not be able to recover, and eventually lose the game.

Game 2: I knew my strategy this time. First sign of solar shield and it was time to BB. It had worked for a few turns, but the key element of that on-the-spot stall strategy was that I would draw either a deflag or a discord. I never drew one of either. Those dead cards definitely took a toll.

GGs Boingo. I'm sorry we couldn't have a fair match.
