Round 1: He played first, put up 2 pendulums and a life pillar. I summoned 2 phoenixes in my 1st turn. From there, it didn't really go very well for me. I EQ his pendulums, but it doesn't really stop him. He plays a skull shield which manages to turn one of my phoenixes into a skeleton before i topdecked deflag next turn. I drew one of my lava golems too late to matter. He sealed the victory with a heal. Loss for me.
Round 2: He had only one pillar which got EQ quite fast. He never played another one. I saw that he had 6 poisons in his first... what, 12 cards. Nothing much to say. My win.
Round 3: He opened with 2 pendulums. They gave him enough life quanta for a druidic staff and one scorpion before they got EQed. I decided not to deflag the staff and wait for skull shield, which popped up the next turn. One lava golem grew too much for him to handle, and i started drawing more golems at that point. Win for me again.
