Reverse Gravity | Anti-Gravity https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=23089.msg293126#msg293126

Elements being such a large game, it's possible that someone has already come up with this idea. If so please correct me.

NAME:
Reverse Gravity
ELEMENT:
Gravity
COST:
5 :gravity
TYPE:
Permanent
ATK|HP:
TEXT:
Creatures are reversed, attacking their owners for one turn.
NAME:
Anti-Gravity
ELEMENT:
Gravity
COST:
4 :gravity
TYPE:
Permanent
ATK|HP:
TEXT:
Creatures are reversed, attacking their owners for one turn.
ART:

IDEA:
Bhlewos
NOTES:
Reverse Gravity | Anti-Gravity is similar to Sundial in that it is a Permanent with a Counter of 1, ie. it lasts for one turn.

An example of how this works:

Player A has 3 Bone Dragons and 2 Mummies for a total of 40 damage per turn. Besides pillars/pends, has no permanents in effect.

Player B has an Otyugh and an Armagio for a total of 1 damage per turn. Besides pillars/pends, has no permanents in effect.

It's Player B's turn. Player B plays Reverse Gravity. At the end of his turn, instead of his Armagio and Otyugh attacking Player A, Player A's Bone Dragons and Mummies attack Player A instead -- in other words, Player A and Player B essentially swap creatures for one turn. Player B attacks Player A with his own creatures for a total of 40 damage, and next turn, Player A attacks Player B with his own creatures for a total of 1 damage. After this, Reverse Gravity disappears (similar to Sundial which also only remains on the field for one turn).

Reverse Gravity | Anti-Gravity being a spell, it is of course affected by Emerald Shield | Jade Shield and Reflective Shield | Mirror Shield. If Player A had either up and Player B attempted to play Reverse Gravity, it would be nullified as a reverse of the reverse would be the original in this case.

Reverse Gravity | Anti-Gravity is also susceptible to Deflags or Steals -- if Player A chose to destroy the Reverse Gravity during his turn, he would do 40 damage with his own creatures; however, Player B had already used Reverse Gravity once, so in this case Player B essentially stole Player A's creatures for one turn rather than them swapping it.

If Player A chose to steal RG, however, nothing would change as their creatures would remain swapped.

Alternatively, if Player A has a Reverse Gravity of his own, he could play it and the two RGs would "stack", reversing it twice and bringing things back to normal, sort of like the effect that Jade Shield and Reflective Shield would have.

If you're still confused about how this works, the following imagery may help: imagine that your creatures and your opponent's creatures switch fields for one turn, so your creatures are now your opponent's for one turn and vice versa.

I said the description thingie in chat.

So it works like a sundial, meaning its a permanent, that gets removed. Can it also be exploded and thus make player B attack with his 40dmg field again? :D

Yeah that would work, with the net effect being both Players do 40 damage each.

Then my description needs more rework.
"Creatures turn against their owners, attacking them for one turn"
"Creatures are reversed, attacking their owners for one turn"
Something like that, and the only way to negate it would be..xploding! (how does it work with antimatter)
Im quite the fan of the idea :>

I edited with your second description, will change the cards tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

Antimatter would make things even weirder...I'm guessing if your creatures had been Antimattered, you could play RG, and if the opponent doesn't destroy the RG he would heal you with your own creatures.

So if I have an antimattered creature, and either of us plays RG, it will still heal the opponent. I like that atleast ^^,

sweet card.

So it's almost a mass Antimatter + Liquid Shadow combo for 1 turn, but without poison or healing. XD

I liek eet. :)

CURATOR COMMENT
-Try to fix these things before submitting the card to the Crucible:
-Add a  :gravity icon after the card's COST in the table so that it matches the image (the table should read '4 :gravity' for example for the upped version)
-Change the artwork for both the card images; the first can be easily replaced by someone's MSpaint work (this way you don't need to rely on Disney for the source). The second image cannot be used if you read the bottom of the page closely:

No part of this website and or works by M.C. Escher may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or any information storage and retrieval system, without prior permission in writing by The M.C. Escher Company B.V

That said, in regards to the card concept, there have a few cards that I've seen before regarding the idea of creatures attacking their owners or other friendly creatures (Hypnosis (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7211.msg85650#msg85650), for example). The thing that I do appreciate about this card though is that this could actually be fun to use alongside Antimatter - if you're up against a rough rush deck, and you're about to lose, you can instead just pop anti-matter on your lonely creature for some minute healing, then throw this onto the field so that the rush turns against the opponent. PC is obviously going to ruin this, but I think it's pretty interesting as is. :)

Thanks Kuroaitou! I've edited with the Gravity icon, and I'm looking for public domain images right now. And yeah, this card is super vulnerable to PC but it's more effective against rushes anyway (which at least in my experience have very little PC).
