Great games Killsdazombies. The playing field was pretty skewed with the upgraded cards and that certainly allowed me to win. I think it would have been very close if we were on an even level.

My Gravity Shield pretty much sealed the deal from turn 1. KDZ was using PU dragons so the dragons were blocked out. At the end he PUd my chargers and got some damage in on me but it was too little too late.

I was a little worried because I had a slow draw with only 1 pend. He kept putting out frogs and i killed them right away with bolts until I ran out and then he adrened one. Then came out flying staves. KDZ had a slow draw too though. Eventually I got up my fire shield and deflagged his pends for the win. He couldn't over come his slow quanta.

This was my favorite deck from the earlier trials battles. Alas I had no pends for like 6 turns. Got discord out early with nova but it didn't do its job. KDZ had 3 adren frogs by the end and pretty much creamed me.

He claimed he had BE and if it came out I was probably doomed. It didn't and I was able to use wings and EE to shoot his creatures down. I kind of squeaked by with just the EE as he kept forcing me to kill my frogs by Antimattering them.

I had no pends at first but nova allowed me to get out 1 graboid with adren. I left it unburrowed - kind of risky - but it went a good 4 or 5 turns before he siphon lifed it. With KDZ down to around 10hp, I popped up a fog shield and upped Staff - another risk if he had steal. He put out a vampire dagger and hung on for a bit. His devourers ate up all my time so I had 2 graboids sitting there and just slowly wittled him down. Deflagged his dagger and won.

Before hand I had planned to play the graboid deck and this deck in succession. I was hoping it would be confusing. Turns out it didn't matter. He brought the classic war 2 fire/jade dragon deck. My earthquake quickly set him way back. But I think he had already conceded in his head because he played all his pends at once on the first turn? I got him down to 30 but then he healed and his fireshield killed my dragons.

I had more cards so I would have decked him or won eventually I believe but he disconnected. I finished against AI with a dragon and cockatrice for the win. He graciously gave me the title even though I offered to replay.



I have mixed feelings about winning. KDZ is a great master and I didn't really want to dethrone him. Now the expectations are on me. Anyhow KDZ is a great player and was a great master. I am sad to see him go, but happy that I won.

I hope I can fill his shoes. I'm honored to takeover from him.

There is a variety in the decks there, and while I'm not much of a deckbuilder, it shows in the results. (I'm biased here because I haven't seen any of kdz's decks, but still)

Being a master means doing what is required. Stage 1 was required, and the upped cards were levied directly on that. Don't worry too much about dethroning kdz, IMO at least you won well and convincingly.

And if nothing else, the 'Master of Life' Title would look better on your avatar

Allthough it may not have been your favorite, I really like your Otyugh deck. Great chocie against life decks imo, especially the combo with grav shields, respect!

Anyway, two great players, so we were bound to have a good master. Well played both and congratulations Wizel.
