I especially need feedback on the name, since this sounds kind of lame. I'd like the name to reflect the damage absorb/quanta production theme. I would really like every element to have multiple shields to choose from (like Thorn Carapace and jade Shield), to have more versatility in the game.

This is the first raw idea so I need to take a better look at it myself aswell. But please, tell me what you think!

agree about double shields, have often tried coming up with alternatives!
When I saw the name I thought it would be  :s can't think of a solution, just feedback what my instinctive thought was...sorry!

Yeah I agree with you, the name could use some work.

Now that I'm looking at these cards as they are, it looks somehow familiar. Has anyone used this art before? If so, I appologise.

Also, this shield would be very usefull for rainbow decks, my original intention was not to buff rainbow decks at all! On the other hand... with Quantum Towers and Nova's, why would they need this? They're beter off with other shields imo.

While it might work best with Steals and the element of Darkness, in my opinion give it to the element of redirection, Gravity.

Also, a name change seems to be in order, perhaps Graviton Energizer?

My idea was that the tentacles on this shield grab attacking opponents and suck quanta from them while they attack, this would fit perfectly in the darkness theme as long as the name is changed imo.

. . . This thing costs 5, but its worse than Solar Shield. Buff is imminent.

I think this fits Darkness well.

Darkness is the Element focused on using the opponent's resources (Vampire ..., Voodoo)
Of all the Elements that it thematically fits ( ) Darkness would be the optimal choice because it gives the player the most options in how to use the card.

That said I think DR1|2 at casting cost 2|4 would be appropriate.
Darkness already has an expensive shield, now it could have the option of a cheap shield.

Thanks for all the feedback, I made the shield quite a bit cheaper. I myself would be really interested to see how fast the quanta growth would go with this shield and if it combines well with steal.

Yes, finally a use for stealing permanents with abilities!

Like OT said, it's good for what it does, blocking your opponent's attacks and converting it into random quanta. In comparison:

Unupped is cheaper than Solar Shield because of random quanta instead of fixed quanta generation.
Upped is more expensive than Solar Shield because of overall benefit and better damage reduction.

Card seems balanced to me.

EDIT: Also, fix the discrepancies between the card and table.

I think the cost should be more.
It adds defense already but quanta too? The differnce between this and Solar shield is the element and the details of the effect. Darkness get's quanta too easy as it is.
Don't get me wrong it is not broken or anything but a small cost increase would be good.

Note that it's random quanta, most of wich will stay unused. While all Solar shields quanta is useable.
Darkness mostly only get's dark quanta easy (Devourers), unless off course a quantum tower is stolen, wich is a waste of the steal spell is most cases.
