Round 1: I won the coin toss.  kev got a slow start with only 1 fire pillar.  Threw a second as I put up a devourer.  I hoped the devourer ate one of his fire quanta (he was at 2 fire, 2 aether)... it didn't.  I EQ-ed his two pillars hoping to slow him down, but I knew what was coming.  He immolated the summoned phoenix and dropped 3 more.  I threw down a discord and now it became a race to who did more damage.  Keeping him from fractal-ing, he deflaged my fog shield, I dropped a fire golem and a forest spirit, demon.  Stole a aether pillar.  Last turn I hit the 8 necessary aether quanta to fractal.... my demon! Threw one down to hit him for exactly his life left.  I had like 30 life left against 5 minor phoenixes.

Round 2: I won the coin toss.  I drew a slow hand (no damage creatures) and kev put down 6 pillars/pendulums. 'great...' I thought.  He immolated a phoenix, but did not have the quanta to fractal it yet.  I leaned the sweet trick of quint-ing the opponents phoenix from another war thread... so that's what I did!  Slowed him down immensely.  I had my demon and a discord doing minimal damage to him, then threw down a lava golem hoping to speed things up.  Kev, being smart on his feet, fractaled my golem and put the pressure on.  I luckily had a demon out, black hole and a miracle in hand and was doing good damage.  Paradoxed a few golems, black hole, did not need the miracle for the win.

I was extremely impressed by both the deck design and ak's play.  ggs, ak.

It would be kind of sad to see Fire out this round. Though it WOULD give Light a better chance, it would also take some major heat off Entropy... Meh, I guess we're gonna win the War anyways, so I don't really care. As long as we beat Fire this round.
