lol...

Game one: I never actually drew any photons/novas, so my deck was essentially mono-light + animates - miracles. I even got like 3 pillars and the pendulum in my opening, and got out the dragon and a morning star fairly quickly. I somehow manage to get 2 flying morning stars even after he killed my dragon, which were eventually able to overpower his phoenix/golem/anubises. He ended with 3 useless rage potions in his hand.

Game two: same as game one, except Smokefree got going a lot faster and outrushed me. Again, no novas/photons. 1-1.

Game three: holy crap I got a windraw. My opening hand had 2 morning stars and 2 animate weapons (no pillars or pendulums, but i drew some) and I also wound up getting photon+immolation+nova which let me chaos seed his golem, lightning his RP'd anubis, fog shield, and poison. A fairly handy win, since all he was left with was a phoenix and I had a phoenix and two morning stars.

ggs. Glad he didn't have discord.

When your vault size equals 90 and your in-element cards are mostly from conversions (aka pillars/pendulums) it's quite hard to make 3 good decks. Still, I think going 2-1 this round can be considered an achievement, and going 1-2 against implosion also proves that the deck wasn't totally crappy ;]

But don't worry, we still have at least one good deck, one crappy but still victorious, and 12 cards salvaged this round... so yeah, some more crap decks are on their way, when we get back to 90 cards for example... (yes, according to current rules, that might mean fielding a 15 Time Pendulum, 15 off-element cards, for example)... tough luck, but we'll have to beat Zeru with this at some point in future, so we need quantum physics and some good sacrifices to RNG.

And that's one of the reasons why I'm totally for some non-pillar in-element conversions in the next war.

Actually, that only proves our deck was very crappy too :P

By 'totally crappy' I mean a deck like 30 pillars or 30 non-pillar cards... generally something that cannot win.

Oh wait, those decks can actually win.

So yeah, such a thing as a totally crappy deck does not exist :P

Legal suicide decks can win... in worst case, by deck-out, in better case mark-powered and thus able to play half of their cards.

Yeah, illegal suicide decks could be considered totally crappy, since even if they face another illegal suicide deck, both lose. And if an illegal suicide deck faces a legal suicide deck, the legal one wins be default.

But, the same deck used 'out of war context', in other words without rules stating that it is illegal, could still win. So, being totally crappy is a relative thing. If we go for absolutes, the only totally totally crappy deck I can think of would be a deck with -1 cards, or a deck with 66 Solar Shields. Try playing such a deck, and you'll see what I mean :P
