The dictator (water) 2 - 1 Pervepic (air) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=16459.msg210708#msg210708
« on: November 27, 2010, 11:00:04 am »
Well, I have to say these were pretty hard matches. I had a calculator on my desk, which needs a break now, after doing lots of calculations of possible damage from pervepic (to know when to miracle), or to calculate my own damage from the bolts.

Also, there were some pretty strange draws, the first match my last 4 ice bolts were in the last 11 cards. Pervepic managed to win that one after he chained dimshields when he was at 65 HP's from my morning star, and the turn before I got killed, I calculated I could do 64 damage, so I had to draw an ice bolt, or a miracle. Sadly, it was a reflective shield.

Second game, half of my icebolt were in the last quarter of the deck, but my ice shield, which I got up pretty early, managed to slow him down enough, so I could bolt him for the win.

The third game, I didn't get a morning star in the first half of the deck, so when I finally got it, perv started chaining shields. This game we both had a very slow start, which I appreciated, because I had more cards, and because I started without miracles. But, in the end, 5 bolts and 97 quanta were enough to kill him.

My deck:

These were pretty good games, so thanks for the challenge pervepic.

Miracles work in most deck-out stalls with fire shield, thorn carapace, stone skin and permafrost included. It's more common sense team water would choose to use them  ;)

...What? No team can make deckers without healing, and in War format, Miracle is the best healing cards. However, Miracle CAN and SHOULD be combined (for maximum efficiency) with Fire Shield, Ice Shield and Stone Skins. Still, Miracle is the key card.

And even if it wasn't, this doesn't change the fact that they got the idea from us :P
