Game 1: Started with a bunch of photons and an immolation, but no phoenix. I drew another immo early, and both stars, but the lack of phoenixes worried me. Early golem got lightning'd, and I stalled while waiting for my phoenixes. I drew several consecutive phoenixes not long after that, and rushed him to death while I sat at about 50HP.

Game 2: A photon, two phoenixes, two immolation, and my lightning and reverse time as my starting hand. I really couldn't have asked for better. I got both phoenixes out the first turn (does it count if one was ash that turn?). Sky only had one pillar; he just couldn't keep up. The lightning on his golem, and the rewinding of his newly-evolved shrieker didn't help.

Good games, Skydaemon of Earth.

My Deck:

Code: [Select]
55p 55p 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58u 58u 58u 58u 58u 58v 58v 590 590 590 590 592 592 5aa 5aa 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa
Games went as Wizardcat said.

Game 1: He pulled out photons and started immo'ing them.  I put out a golem which he promptly hit with lightning.  Graboids/pulvy couldn't catch up, he pulled a morningstar for good measure too.

Game 2: He opened with 2 phoenix in a double immo, and I followed with a quick golem, which he once again hit with lightning immediately.  He had a healthy lead with the early phoenixes which graboid had little chance to close, and the morningstar for the final nail of the rush.

I had grav shields in hand both games, they were there in case of flying morningstars or golden dragons or blessings etc, but they were pretty useless in this matchup, and the pulvy just had a single pillar and one shield to work on.

Nice clean games Wizardcat.  Good luck in the rest of the war.~

Bah.. Can;t believe he managed to pull out his one-copy CC cards in both matches... Really screwed up our rush. Good games on both sides though, we could have used the win but this deck was a gamble that didn't end up paying off.

I was impressed too.  On top of pulling the lightning, he also needed 2 immo's to use it, which is pretty good to be able to do on your second turn like in the second game.  That uses 4 of your first 8 cards (5 if you want to count the rt he also had waiting), and 2 of the last 3 were phoenixes?  Sheesh.
