This was, without any disrespect at all to gocubbies1212, a walk in the park. Gocubbies played right into my hands and packed a pretty slow
rush depending on Dim Shields for the win. He had nothing on my fast Phoenix/Machine deck with massive deflag action. Gocubbies played as well as he possibly could have, but my deck was simply not going to fail versus what he brought to the table.

Phoenices brought the fast attack, Steam Machines brought the power -- both weren't vulnerable to a single Lightning. Ice Shields were unnecessary (and he had deflags anyway, so I just didn't bother playing them), and he didn't Fractal, so I didn't have to worry about Flooding. But three useless cards out of an entire deck wasn't going to slow me down much. I figured
was going to bring either Dim Shields, Mind Gates, or Lobos, so massive permanent control was the way to go -- and I was right.
Both games were about the same: early 2x Phoenix 1x Steam Machine on my part, early Phase Spider and/or Dragon on his, and we traded damage. As my Steam Machine grew threatening, he double-lightning-bolted it. One game, he played lobo and I deflagged it before it got off the ground. Both games ended with Phase Shields being played and deflagged at the last moment for the win.
