Post general things about vault here
the elements going into our vaults are  :aether :air :death :entropy :fire :gravity :water

daxx said he is posting a "makeshift vault" ATM so we can view that later.

Right, as KDZ has said he wants a Vault ready to go sooner rather than later I am throwing together a speculative Vault so we can see how it turns out. I'll be posting here whilst I assemble it, so please throw ideas at me or get in chat.

I'm vaguely following the "decks we want to play" method of vault building, and seeing where it leads.

Okay, first deck to go in is Life/Aether. The best candidate seems to be Gl1tch's Fractal Frog deck, found here:

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14134.msg190511#msg190511

Suggest changes if you think the deck needs it, or if you have a better candidate. :)

Up next is Life/Air.

We don't have decks for this, so willng3 and I have thrown something together in chat.

6 Flying Weapon
4 Druidic Staff
3 Owl's Eye
2 Thorn Carapace
4 Shockwave
Rest pillars/pendulums (to be added later, at the end of Vault building)

Skipping Life/Death for a moment, we have Life/Entropy.

We have two good candidates for decks right now. We're temporarily choosing the second, found here:

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,13972.msg191392#msg191392

Though either could work.

These two go together for reasons of flexibility. For Fire, we're going with willing3's creatureless deck. For Gravity, my momentum/scorpion deck. This means that in a pinch we can build something similar to Gl1tch's life/fire deck with minimum fuss.

Simpler choice next. For Life/Water, Gl1tch's one here:

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14043.msg189212#msg189212

I've tested it, it works and is solid.

Life/Death was the really tricky choice. We've gone for Gl1tch's deckout deck. We may fill in extra cards to do more of those later.

And lastly for the "decks we might want to play" section, a mono-life basic rush: 6 cockatrices, 6 frogs, 6 adrenaline.

Added in a smattering of cards that would work well in a hypothetical rainbow near the end, and tidied up a few sets of cards which we may need more of just in case. We've got a working Vault now aside from the pendulums, and there's still plenty of space.

Edit: if there seems like there are too many, remember we may end up running two rainbows at the end, not just one. Spare cards can be converted to pillars later.

Finally Pendulums. 80 should do, as we're unlikely to want more than 13 of them per deck, whichever deck we choose. Also a few Fire, since one of the decks requires Fire pendulums apparently. A few emerald pillars rounds things out for those few decks which require a little extra life-fixing.

This leaves us with 324 cards in the Vault.

Leaving 97 left to add.

Here're the challenges now. How do we alter the Vault as it currently stands, and how do we spend those 100-odd cards that we have spare?

thx daxx, for starting this.

we need 9 decks for the 1st round.

there can be some decks with more then 13 pillars/pendulums (deckout/huge stall decks, and it is not unlikley that we use alot of them).
an average of 12 pendulums per deck gives us 108 pendulums in the vault (we might be abit close with this average pendulum#).

i agree with your pillar argument.

life creatures: i would like to have more Cockatrice in the vault. with 4/4 they are less vulnerable to cc and we might need this advantage.
12 Cockatrice.
12 dragons -> if we go for more stall decks, dragons fit better in stalls

i know, i just pushed +40 cards in the vault.
"rest vault": 57 cards to fill

(*crossing fingers for the propaganda*)

to start the discussion about the rest of the vault:
+3 dim shields (maybe +9 to be able to made 2  :aether duo deck)
+3 quintessence
+3 fog (haxshield, really effektiv for the cost, also fits in a rainbow)
+3 antimatter
+3 discord
+4 deflag (at least)
+2 fire shield
+1 grav shield
+3-4 gravity pull
+6 freeze
+3-4 chimera

+34-42 cards

then we might still have space for a darkness duo
+6 devourers (or minor vampires)
+4 drain life
+2-3 nightfall
+1-2 vamp daggers

+13-15 cards
