Quite honestly, I think the idea is hugely OP. Instakill on a stick costs one death or earth? Yes, it turns to a pillar, but that insane 70/60 Chimera now is a gravity pillar. Ow. Granted, a Maxwell's Demon would kill said Chimera too, but it couldn't touch it if it were 20/499. This card wouldn't care. It's cheaper to boot. Maybe a two-turn stall would be better.

The question is im not sure what cost of the ability should be but it should be death or earth and the cost of the creature is negotiable

I am wondering why this card is  :entropy.
Would it fit better as a  :death/ :earth card or a  :earth/ :death card?

I personally favor a :death card with a :earth skill cost.

There is also the worry about the instant death effect that does not take hp into account.
I would recommend it could only target the opponents monsters and make it return 1/3 its current hp as pillars of the corresponding type.

I'll change her to a  :death creature and I think the cost and key word will be 3 :earth Stare:.
The effect will be 50% successful, 25 % if player has a reflective shield for the unupped and 65%, 35% for the upped. Then we can negotiate on what exactly the ability should do.

I am certain in her current state she is OP, but I would like suggestions for Medusa themed skill. I don't think using the petrify ability here would be excepted. As for the the shield thing, there are 2 with the reflect ability.

I just found out 2 beings were born when Medusa died Pegasus and Chrysaor.

What about introducing an ability with a drawback as well?
 :earth :earth :earth: Stare

Stare inflicts a 1-2 round petrification [including the +20hp] on each opponent's creature but also applies stone skin to the opponent elemental.

Who's  :earth quanta would be used to determine the amount hp gained from stone skin?

I would use the elemental that activated Stare's quanta (because they would have to have some)

quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medusa

In most versions of the story, she was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who was sent to fetch her head by King Polydectes of Seriphos as a gift. With help from Athena and Hermes who supplied him with winged sandals, Hades' cap of invisibility, a sword, and a mirrored shield, he accomplished his quest. The hero slew Medusa by looking at her harmless reflection in the mirror instead of directly at her, to prevent being turned into stone. When the hero severed Medusa's head from her neck, two offspring sprang forth, for Medusa was pregnant by Poseidon: the winged horse Pegasus and the golden-sworded giant Chrysaor.

Do you think any of that should be part of the theme behind this card.

i would say have it turn them to stone.. similar to frozen but irreversible.. it just takes up space there. maybe quint undoes it like freeze is undone.. make the ability cost a little more though... 4 or 5?

as for the two children that come out of medusa... put a pegasus in play and a new creature that represents the giant.

just thoughts
