Immortal creatures are immune to the Reverse Time, but their spots are still considered collapsed. They still cannot be played in collapsed areas. Collapsed spots cannot be recollapsed by a second spell, different spots collapse instead. Mummies do NOT turn into pharaohs. SERIES:

Well this is an idea I sort of had a while ago, except it was a permanent.
The idea is to take advantage of aether's immortality to lock down your opponent's creatures.
IMO it would be very welcomed in a mono-aether deck.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

It's sort of cool, but the randomness makes it very unreliable in the long run (compared to Flooding) as an environmental effect. Good job on giving the mechanic a 'reverse-time' effect, because that way, you can still play those creatures down (compared to outright destroying them, as Lightning is pretty strong CC for Aether). Mummies, I assume, become Pharaohs if trapped in these Rifts, correct?

Since the effect is random and also happens on your side... the card seems very underpowered.

You would only want it in a deck where you have virtually no creatures, and where you fill the enemy side with malignant cells.
rewinding a side that is filled with a couple malignant cells would be fun.. since maybe they would replace real threats.

You won't be playing many creatures as monoaether, and they will all be Immaterial in most cases.
Mm.. I dunno.. three turns max is a bit low for 6 spots. I'd probably go with 8. Hard to tell without testing it, though.

If you have a few of these cards, and keep playing them, they can continuously keep collapsing NEW spots.
Its more than possible to collapse the entire field. Maybe making it 3/4 turns would be better though?

I didn't consider hoarding them and playing them all in one turn, probably because I never play like that. Perhaps it works better for this card though. Dunno, it's hard to say for sure how to balance it when I can't try it. Still neat, though.

well you aren't really targeting immaterial creatures with reverse time.. you are collapsing that field.. so i would assume they still get reversed?
don't they die when they are flooded by inundation?
