Been hearing things that air needs a way to use lots of air quanta, and I came up with this.
It probably needs a damage cap though.

might be overshadowed by shockwave for its cheap 4 dmg however

but by the card like this mechanic (i mean spell bolt and life drain).  this thing will deal first dmg no matter how much quanta your have.

and why don't you make it have a cost?

I figured people might not understand the lack of cost.
Wind Slash needs at least 10 quanta to deal any damage. Less than 10 and it does 0.
10 or more and it does 4. It drains all the quanta when it's played.
Let's say we gave it a cost of 10.
You can't use it until you have 10 quanta, but you do no damage until you have 10 quanta anyways.
Lets say you have 10 quanta.
It has a cost of 10. Damage is calculated before you lose the quanta anyways (4). You lose your 10 quanta as the cost for playing the spell.
It has a cost of 0. You do 4 damage. You lose your 10 quanta (Spell drains all your quanta.)
No difference between a cost of 10 and a cost of 0.
I just picked the cost of 0.

Any suggestions for better quanta:damage ratios?

no.   if you change it to cost 10     you don't want to write a note   and it will have same theme with all bolt

that's my point.

This card is very similar to this card (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6225.0.html) that's already in the Crucible. However, it appears that your card doesn't have the same flexibility as Focused Cyclone/Tornado in that it only targets the enemy player rather than creatures, and the upgraded form has a very massive ability to deal tons of damage with enough quanta. Are you sure it's okay to have a card that does so much damage for free (even if it consumes all of your quanta/doesn't do anything when you don't have the required amount)?

Jade Shield would counter it perfectly, just like Unstable Gas. It's very limited in its use...

I know making it free is confusing, but it's cost is still effectively "all you air quanta".
A cost of say, 3 wouldn't change the actual cost of quanta in playing the card, it would merely limit it so that you need at least 3 quanta to play it (and why would you play it with 2 quanta?).
True it can do a lot of damage, but so can firelance, and firelance has the ability to throw out multiples in the same turn.
I'll submit it to the crucible for now, if it really needs changes, I would like feedback and I will change it then.

i think the unupped is fine, the upped maybe make it for every 5 quanta u have instead of 2. it would do double damage from unupped and not be 5 times more damage..

Somehow, I see this as slightly UP. I mean, with Firebolt, you can chain 3 of them, and already do more damage per quanta than this card. And you still have a horde of quanta to play any other cards.

However, this could have some synergies with Unstable Gas, or just as a game-ender, like with Chimera. It's also unique.
