Ya they are mindgates. The reason they are so useful in a speed rainbow is that to win, you have to get out as many cards as possible, as fast as possible. This deck has three cards that allow just that, so there's a good chance you'll either go through your deck faster, or "borrow" your opponent's creatures. Sometimes even both. As long as you aren't unlucky, you should be very successful with this.
