Reports of game running slowly

Several people have come into chat in the past hour complaining about the game running slowly.

For me, t50 was taking about 1 minute per turn.  There was even a tremendous lag at the login screen.  Each character of my username/password took four seconds to appear.

I'm using IE8 and I've tried restarting my browser.  Tri343 is seeing the same thing using firefox.

The problem does not exist if you play through Kongregate.

Happens to me. The ads on the Elements page also run slow. (the ones below the actual game screen). Shuting down the computer fiexed it onece but it started again another time.

I haven't experienced this at all. I even refreshed the page a few times after people started reporting this.

I'm having the same problem, and i won't play if it is this slow, it's just not fun.

It was slow for me last night too. I thought something was going on with the computer, but I'm glad it wasn't just me.

I have that same problem, not just Elements the Game, few Flashes are slow down for.... no idea why.

My solution for Firefox users.

Use Flashblock extension to turn it on to block the Flash.

Refresh elementsthegame.com, you will see the blocked game.  Just wait few seconds after page download complete, then click the flash to running. It will smooth again.

That's my little trick.

I would love to see this game port into a stand-alone client program for Mac!

Exact same problem here - started last night.

-Using IE8 / WinXP
-Flash memory setting is set to unlimited
-No changes/updates to computer at all in last week
-Framerate on everything from login screen to oracle is terrible (almost unplayable)
