I was playing on my laptop a while ago and got to 3000 points.

Since then, I have been playing on my desktop.  I was at 5000 points and getting some upgrades.  A lot of grinding.

So, today, I open my laptop to browse for some data while I am out and about.  I notice that I left it on elements.  So I check out my deck, and its the one from weeks ago.  WTF!   so I check my cards and score, and they correspond to that deck's timeframe. 

I figure that elements must be storing it's data locally, so I get home, fire up the desktop, and it also shows the older score.

Obviously, I am unhappy, ready to quit, and hoping for some operator intervention.  I think the latest save of the higher score was last night, and the corruption occurred about 1 hour ago.

I'm gonna go and ask the obvious:

Are you sure you were connected to the server? If you close your laptop without saving, your progress will be lost...

Unfortunately, you aren't the first this has happened to.

The file isn't saved locally, it's saved on a server, and it saves any time you change a deck/change something about your account.  A win, the oracle, an upgrade, you name it.

However, it only /loads/ when you open the game.

When you opened your laptop up again, it re-saved your game.  New saves over-ride old saves, regardless of changes in numbers, and your old data was lost.

You can e-mail zanz at help@elementsthegame.com, but no promises.

The obvious solution, not allowing a game to save if it has less wins/losses than an older file, has not been implemented yet.  I have no idea if zanz plans to implement this in the future.

From now on though, close elements when you're done with it, and be very careful if using more than one computer.

Zanz gets about 600 emails a day I would say. Some are important and not important. He gets many from newb players.

You will most likely have to wait awhile till you get an answer.
