Title: Half Blood Grabbow still viable?
Post by: Derkis on February 03, 2015, 11:31:39 pm
Hello everyone,

I'm new here, and as such was following the Rags to Riches 2.0 guide. I build the HBG deck for farming AI4 as suggested, but so far I have yet to win a single game with it. I've lost something like 15 games in a row (0/15, I haven't won a game against AI4 yet). While I do have terrible luck, I feel like this is beyond that. Any advice?

It's more than viable, it's the best grinder if you lack rares & upgrades

Original deck thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/rainbow-decks/hbgb-the-half-blood-grabbow-%28ai4%29%28unupped%29%28rareless%29) includes listing that if you have Arsenic, you should replace Mummy with that

There's always alternatives if HBGB doesn't suit your tastes (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/farming-studies-and-statistics/ai4halfblood-stats-thread-%281-321%29-decks-and-spin-chance/msg1082427/#msg1082427)

If you're misplaying it's likely due to not playing your scarce control conservatively enough or burrowing your shriekers without cause

I'm new too. got 2 wins on 5 tries with HBGB against HB and an upped card each time. Then I realized I don't want to sell those so I switched to rares farming in the arena which is easier.
Good luck.

I figured it had to be a strategy thing or it wouldn't still be recommended. Maybe I just need to give it more tries and play a little differently. I'll still with it and see if I can figure it out.

EDIT: I just tried one more game against AI4 with HBGB and won on my first try. My problems must have been a combination of bad luck and bad strategy.
