Rainbow Decks / Re: The-Compeltely-Unoriginal-but-Semi-Original FGBow

Still an excellent deck! I have added two Protect artifacts (one can make the difference between win & loss against Seism but they help with others too), and a Pandemonium which has saved my ass countless times :) . Cheers!

The most awesome update since like 2 years. I attribute this mostly to the original and sharply designed new cards which I'm looking forward to use (unlike the last dozen). Thanks!

wings and steam machine are now available in the bazaar.
thank you zanzarino for your effort for getting this alive!

no pandemonium in the bazaar, do we get another rare here?
I just got one from the Oracle!

edit: live in the bazaar, too.

to add shards do I take out the lightnings?
Absolutely not, at least I didn't.

- One of them can kill a small critter you can't or don't want to devour with an oty (don't have it yet or would get poisoned). Think butterfly'ed micro abomination, puffer fish, crimson dragon, or just a pest when you're low on pillars.
- One of them can damage a larger creature into devouring range.
- Two of them can kill practically everything that annoys you.
- Finally, you can use them to bring down the enemy's health if you couldn't last for one more round yourself :)

This also allows you to play shields more effectively, because if you eliminate some threat for just 2 quanta, you can spare them for later. Especially if you can heal at the same time due to shards.

Thanks for this deck. I play it and upgrade the cards one by one. I have added one more quint and the three SOGs I have, plus an Electrocutor. A really fun thing is to PU then kill the enemy's Anubis and be able to quint more creatures. :)

I mostly use it against AI5 though to gain some money to take on FGs. Against FG I seem to be really out of luck (many ditches in row, and bad draws if not). Against AI5, I win 8-9 of 10 matches. The success and EM rate is similar to SG's almost unupped rainbow, but with this deck, it's much faster to find out if I will have to admit defeat and I can have another go. Also, the matches that I end up by winning are quicker. This is probably related to the fact that SG's deck usually ends with a ton of creatures which slows down the game, while this one is slimmer.

Paradox / Re: I just got pwned by paradox..
« on: June 03, 2010, 03:21:10 pm »
I have been told by the Oracle that I would next face Paradox.
I have adjusted my rainbow to match (removing Enchant Artifact & so on).

... and then I got 1 nova and no pillars on the first draw.
I was able to play just one sundial before I got hammered.

Sooo unfair! Just thought I'd share my frustration. Thanks!

This is an excellent deck, thank you for it!

I have been running this today with a few modifications. My version:

Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f5 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f7 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fa 5fb 5fc 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9
6x burning pillar
6x immolation
6x photon
3x deflagration
1x fire shield (rare)
1x fire bolt
1x rage potion
5x lava golem
1x phoenix
1x fahrenheit (rare)

I'm considering adding a momentum against bone walls/dim shields.

Stats in t50 today: around 60 wins, 44 losses. Won around ten rare weapons (of which 3 lobo and 2 eternity) and a dozen shards (mostly green ones).

Some decks encountered today and the results versus them. The numbers won't add up because I did not exactly count wins in category 1.

1. Clearly farming decks (appreciations from a poor player:). Always Elemental Mastery win.

mrblonde (blue shard, arsenic)
candle (pulv, druid)
confetti (lobo, discord - the best chance to get them!)
unionruler  (titan, arsenic)

2. Easily defeated decks:

hawk203 4w 1EM (eternity, blue shard)
travisjhall 3w 1l 1EM
jinze 2w (eternity)
avenger 3w 1l 1EM (blue shard)
freez 4w 1l
ferpisano 2w 1l (really bad draw:) rol hope (green shard)
AntiLord 3w 1l (shards, arsenic)
clp 1l 2w 2EM (blue shard)
Time_Master 1w
hrmmm 1w
Donot 1w (shards)
chaoticendeavors 1w

3. Medium threat
Viralset! 3w (1EM) 2l - This was the most fun deck to play against, great challenge!
peterpanson 1w 1l
jmizzle7 1w 1l
ChinFire 1w 1l rol hope
lluis83 2w 1l (green shard, pulv)
wolfunit 1w 1l (fahrenheit, discord)
Guy42 1w

4. Hard:
koral 1l
ghy 1w 1l 1EM (green shard, permafrost)
almightymoon 1w 1l
chaoz 1w 1l
mightyhat 1l
hoffcorp 1l
MeIYouUsWe 1l
Jangoo 1l
Essence 1l
infernet89 1l

5. Don't even bother
pervepic 2l pharaoh readinessshard rewind
io men 1w 2l
valuka 2l
razerevil 2l
jacada 2l
test0290 1w 2l
PuppyChow 2l
CB! 3l
elach 2l
skp 1w 2l
TheoCT 1l poison congeal

Of course the decks will rapidly change and I don't say I'm playing the deck perfectly. Still, some numbers to think about :).
