General Discussion / Re: vulgar language in pvp

I think most of us tend to think of "Game Suggestions and Feedback" as stuff pertaining to technical issues in the game, such as game balance, accessibility of the interface, potential features etc. Perhaps this should be moved to general discussion?  ;)

what now union is leaving wtf i might have a chance if wassd doesnt play either  :))
I'm not leaving. It's just that I may not get any points from phase 1 (the tasks) in absentia. Depends on the window of time sg gives.

Card Ideas and Art / Re: Young Starfish | Old Starfish
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:40:10 am »
Young starfish is kinda useless at 2|3.

I assume that Old Starfish pays 1 :life everytime it adds a "regen counter" to yourself? I think it's slightly overpowered--you'd start seeing it in speed rainbows, and you can make a duo out of forest spectres and that which would be so cheap in terms of quanta you could splash  :fire mark for explosions or  :gravity mark for unstoppables. Dunno if you can get a fractal Old Starfish deck to work.

I kinda dislike the art--the starfish is too pink. If you've ever gone diving and seen those sprawling orange and white ones, you'd most probably have chosen them over this--they're more majestic. Also the orifice is too obvious which is a little gross.

If I didn't become master, I probably would play under a different element the next war, or none at all. Kinda find that the 50% rule and the lesser amount of cards makes  :aether inherently very weak at pvp events.

Anyway I'll be overseas for the greater part of next week. May miss out on trials due to that.

Deck Help / Re: pvp2/t50 farmer need improvements...
« on: July 24, 2010, 06:00:56 am »
And what would you kill with the 3 pandemoniums? Not very much isn't it...
You can use this for pvp, but it'd certainly suck in T50, both against rainbow and RoL-Hope. RoL-Hope you'd only win if your opponent actually draws and plays both light dragons and you antimatter them before you get killed by RoLs and electrocutor. There isn't much to antimatter when you're up against a rainbow.

You could try the following:

-1 I.Antimatter, -1 Purple Dragon, -1  :entropy Pillar
+1 Discord, +2 Pandemonium

Nevertheless, there are many other more reliable decks around for pvp and T50 respectively.

Forum Archive / Re: RARE CARD FARMS - updated daily by the community!
« on: July 24, 2010, 03:40:10 am »
I've been putting up a great many farms during the week, so today I have decided on fielding something special.

Code: [Select]
59c 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ug 6ug 7kc 7kc 7ng 808 808 80s 80s
This can kill  ;) Be very careful not to let it set up shop. It can be argued to be a SoR/Relic farm though.

General Discussion / Re: Antimatter Bug?
« on: July 23, 2010, 07:56:51 pm »
How about no? I think there should be a premium on waiting for an identical creature to come out and then casting antimatter on it as it is currently.

If there's any bug it's antimatter pufferfishes still poisoning opponent--healing your opponent is certainly not a successful attack.

I like the idea very much. If the ability is free, I foresee two potential situations in which it is overpowered though:

1. complementing Fractal Ball Lightning with Condor and Bone Wall
2. complementing a control rainbow to rack up more creature kills

Hope to see it implemented sometime after you resolve all the technicalities.

General Discussion / Re: Woohoo!! Finally got my 6th SoG!
« on: July 23, 2010, 06:41:30 pm »
Does no one know how to insert a deck and not make the smallest image in the world?
What are you talking about? The image isn't that small, and you weren't supposed to look at the deck, you were supposed to see the 6 SoGs in the sideboard.
Hello? Do you know what sarcasm is?

6 SoGs...well, most decks don't actually need all 6 of them. Most generic anti FG decks can cope with 4  :)

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Fast-Forward Turn Option
« on: July 23, 2010, 06:08:26 pm »
I certainly would use it. Like Finkel mentioned once the game is in hand it you don't care what the AI does. And those with slower comps/laptops that would help out a bit with the time.
Yeah there are a lot of those situations. Quite a few classic situations of this sort manifest from RoL-Hope, not so much rainbows but of course there still are.

I have a recommendation though, how about, if you die, the fast forward option is ignored? I know not everyone would bother to know how they died, but I'd rather know how the AI pulled it off so I can get back at it with a greater vengeance  ;)

Changed the card to Entropy, since pink fits the card, and also to make those OP whiners calm down.

Im afraid to say that the ratio of people who don't like this card to the people who do like this card are 14.8:1

Also, creatures would need a passive skill of girl. Let's hope there is never a way to remove passive skills, or that would be very weird.
Where the heck did u get that 14.8 number?

Male and Female are both passives, and obviously there's no way to remove them.
I think there's a post or a poll on the forums that says boys outnumber girls on this site 14.8:1.

As for the card, I could actually see a variation of this in the real game. Obviously not a Korean girl group (lol), but maybe something else that could give power to feminine creatures.
Forum statistics. I have no idea where you can find them though--always going back to Dema's post reminding us that it existed.

Personally I think it's ridiculous. I'm still struggling to memorize the 'airborne' list. Male and female creatures? Heh  :o You're asking for more of those plea of a dying frog topics.

Deck Help / Re: ultimate stall
« on: July 23, 2010, 05:57:01 pm »
Your idea is ineffective compared to the two main ideas of more or less purely stalling rainbows. Firstly, you could look up the infamous Mr Sexington's Rage Quit deck. Secondly, you can look up a more normal aflatoxin rainbow, still with otys, and usually carrying a jade shield and permafrost shield.

When you carry aflatoxin, you should always exploit it twofold, both casting it on your own RoLs (or any substitute cheap creature) and your opponent's creatures to flood both sides of the board. From there, the win is secured either through a gradual accumulation of damage or via deckout.
