I would say to try out what you have suggested this weekend.  If it makes everything smoother then it saves you time and makes it more enjoyable for the players, if it doesn't work and it ruins the whole tournament and everybody gets pissed off, oh well, there is a new tournament in 7 days.

Okay, you sold me on the speed poison deck.  I have been playing this for 2 hours and I feel comfortable with it.  What I am going to do now is play PVP1 with the same deck I used in round 1 and hopefully some retard will report it to team aether so they think I am playing that again.

These are the 2 decks I am considering:

Mono death.  I do not think they will expect this at all, especially with us winning 5 first round matches and having lots of cards to choose from.  I do not want to bet everything on a poison deck in case they have some purifies, which would kill me.

I am fine with either one.  I may not be signed back on before you choose the cards from the vault and submit our decks, so it is your call MrBlonde.  Even if you modify one of the decks I want or give me something totally different, I will be alright.  I am not dead set on either deck that I posted, I simply only had so much time to try out different decks, and these are the two that I had the most success with.  I think if we can get at least 4 wins out of the six matches we will be in 2nd place for round 3 without sacrificing too many key cards.

I am glad to help out as much as I can.  Since I was a late edition to the team, I was unable to help out with round one, so it feels good to contribute to our cause.  Just to be clear, on a 30 card loss the losing team gets to keep nothing, right?

For my round 2 deck, I will wait until everybody has settled on their decks to choose mine from the remaining.  With 5 losses in round 1 my opponent aether should not be too strong.  That and I am really tired.  So I will check back in about 11 hours or so.

Here's an interesting thought for you Blonde (thanks to ufcs outstanding data mining):
- couple of decks that lost in entropy had more than 30 cards!

Since they only have to discard 30 cards per deck, guess what will they keep?  ;D

I would prepare for discord.

Oh and also, unupped Vampires are... bad. Even with Nightfall.
How does that work.  If entropy loses with a 36 card deck containing 6 discords.  They must discard 30 cards, so say they would want the 6 discords.  But the winning team also wants the 6 discords as their salvage cards.  What happens?

Coinich certainly has a big task in front of him.  Looking at earth's matches, they have so many options, we will not be able to predict what they will do.  We have no real way of stopping earthquake, we cannot use a pillars rush.  I would count on quantum being in very low supply and needing lots of shields to stop the shriekers and the high damaging creatures to get past the shield which should be pa'd.  So.... the only quantum generating non pillar cards we have are the devourers, so I would go with death/darkness.  No mummies as rewind would turn them into useless pharoahs.  But really, there is nothing hard hitting except the dragons and we need lots of death for that.  Maybe try this.
Mark Water
6 freeze
6 chrysaora - needs 1-6 death per turn
6 poison - needs 6 death
14 death pillars
3 bone walls - needs 15 death
2 skull shields - need 2 death

Strategy is to use freeze on larger damage creatures.  Poison as much as possible.  Save enough death quantum to chain the bone walls when health is low. Skull shield to lower damage on smaller attack creatures while we freeze larger attack creatures.  I would like 5-6 bonewalls instead, but they are too expensive when we will probably have to deal with earthquakes.

Everytime I come up with an idea, I try it out and it  does not seem like it will work against earth. 
The only other things I can think of is a death rush with earth as the mark and using all 3 of the enchant artifacts that we have.  Or a death/darkness quantum denial/bonewall/plague deck. >:D

In regards to the death cards, we only have 2 dusk and 6 steal in our vault.  For entropy we have 8 pillars, 4 anti matter and 4 discords.  As is, entropy is much more functional for a dual deck.  To salvage we can take 12 death, 6 from the mono death and 6 from the death/entropy deck and take no entropy cards this round.  Doing this will make the death cards functional for round 2 and leave entropy as is.  I am basing this in a 40 card deck as that is what I am going to be using this round to avoid any deck outs, which seemed too common last round.  I could be overstating the deck outs, so please correct me if I am wrong.  If we take 6 death and 6 entropy, entropy would be good for a 40 card deck with 3-4 discords, some anti matters and 1 mutation but nothing else.  The lycans will be no good without dark, unless we due a dual deck of ent/death with a dark mark. 
For the deck with gravity/water, the water cards would only help us with purify as we have none.  We have no sapphire pillars and would have to rely on a water mark for freeze, chrysoara and purify.  As we already have a bunch of freeze cards, I do not see the point in taking purify right now.  We already have 6 gravity pillars, 2 otys and 2 grav pulls.  We can add 2 pillars and 4 sapphire chargers, or something like that to make gravity a functional second part to a dual deck again. 
From the other 2 decks, I would take 12 aether cards, or maybe 9 and then 3 life pillars.
