How funny.... Against my deck, that I posted the same day I found this same bug in a different form. Which, I already have a thread for. Maybe this thread and that one should be merged, since it's a confirmed error now.

Issue Archive / Shard of Patience Errors[Unconfirmed]

So, messing around with a shard deck against AI0, I find that the Shards of Patience I was using seemed to be not working. I went through another round so I could get these screen shots.

This first image is from the first turn. As you can see, the SoPs in my hand have a cost of "inexplicable symbol."


This second image, two turns later, shows the other error. The SoPs have taken on the cost of the Shard of Serendipity I played, for the one with three cost, and the Supernova, cost of 2 :entropy. When I played the one that was beneath the SoSe, it used the SoSe's effect. However, the other did not act like a Supernova.



I realized I had taken a third screenshot, showing the effects of the SoP that 'became' a SoSe. The Wyrm, Abyss Crawler and Fahrenheit came from it.

I don't play much Pvp, and maybe I should, but as far as AI go I hate the AI 3 with voodoo dolls, especially the :fire / :darkness one. Somehow they can beat fully upgraded rush decks.... (Though, not my current one as of yet. :) )

I find it to be pretty well balanced. I typically get a Pharaoh out, with or without SoR, by the third turn. (Second turn if I can draw 5 towers/pends.)

I like this idea, especially after the changes you've made by other's suggestions. Having soft PC is something I'd like.

However, in the table for Kudzu Plant|Kudzu Plant, you have the text for the unupgraded card in the Atk|Hp section. It's something the curator would point out, I'm sure.

While the mechanic is okay, I think that the name is a little bit misleading. I'm not sure how poison correlates to the 'Infusion' concept (unless you're poisoning YOURSELF in order to gain the :life benefit... :o), but I suppose the idea of infusing one with Life energy does suffice for a definition. Also, as the others have stated above me, Life is a very efficient element when it comes down to :life quanta generation and spending. Most Life creatures are fairly cheap (Forest Spirit/Spectres, Frogs, Cockatrices, etc.) and there's already a powerful Life card that has :life generation (Rustler). If this granted a different benefit rather than quanta, perhaps I could see the payment in terms of being poisoned; otherwise, lowering the poison count is a suggestion that seems to have already been echoed.

Thanks for the feedback. I think this change here is a positive one. The quanta gain would have too little of an effect. However, perhaps accelerating the rush at the eventual cost of the original, and all the quanta to make them, would make more sense for this card through a sort of mass mitosis.

Also, thanks for the welcome, though I've been here before.

It's alright, I only noticed it the first time I used the arena. Don't use it very often, though. (The deck-testing feature, that is.)

Actually, the point is that it's played only if you can. The fact that the upgraded version only works on the opponent is because having the first card in your hand played could easily ruin a strategy. (Since anything targeted would probably be random.) Though, it's a risk to play because it could accelerate their strategy as well.

I think it would be better against Rainbows and Stalls, while nearly pointless against Rush decks.

What would you use all that :life for? I don't really think it's worth 10 poison. I'd settle for anywhere in the range of 2-5 poison.
Agreed. Life isn't typically a quanta heavy element.
Built correctly it could be, but as for just the card maybe the amount of poison should be lowered. But I'll wait for a few more opinions before changing it.

I need just a little feedback before trying to submit this to the Crucible.

Is this a good/bad idea? Does it fit in Life?

Is it over or under powered for what it does?

Should either version inflict more poison, or should it have a quanta cost? (Despite it being no use without a decent amount of quanta built up already.)
