Although I love Amy Lee, I'll give that song 5/10. It's too "pop-ish".
This is my all-time favourite song from Evanescence, because I can really relate to the lyrics:

Evanescence - Like You (
)

Hah! So it is an old bug. No wonder I can't find anything similar when I did a search, it's a "bugception" :P

Hmm.. This makes me wonder whether I should changed the thread's title/description. I chose to highlight the Crusader part because that's how it can be most visible.

15
Funny thing, i always spend my extra blessings on enemy creatures when playing light mark splat and i've never noticed.
Yep, same here. I usually use the "Light-SPlat" to face my Oracle FG and incidentally, I found this bug while testing my Arena deck. I wouldn't have noticed it if there wasn't any Crusader involved.

I can confirm this. Acouple months ago when there was a thread on making the max possible attack with all sorts of buffs like blessing, rage elixir chaos power, When I added heavy armor to counteract the rage elixirs, i often found they only added 3 HP instead of 6, because the 3 from blessing was never solidified in the stats

and all the other buffs are correct. blessing is the only one
Hmm.. that's interesting. I was quite certain that this is new since I remember play-testing few of my Crusader-based Arena decks back in December. But I don't doubt the possibility, since this is something that can be easily overlooked. Anyways, thanks for confirming.

Does this happen with Chaos Power too?
Nope. It works normally. I already mentioned that. ;)

It may look simple, but I can assure you it's not. The "rules" for this bug to happen are:
Obviously, the AI must have a Crusader and a flying weapon in field.[/li]
You play Blessing (or Improve blessing) on the flying weapon.
[/li] When the AI's Crusader endow the blessed weapon, it will not gain any bonus attack from the Blessing.[/li][/list]
Unfortunately, I lost the screenshot and I'm just too lazy to try again. However, I do have this screenshot instead.

As you can see, the bug is pretty simple; it happens when you use Blessing (or Improve blessing) on the AI's creature. It's not limited to just weapons. Blessing should put the "Full" and "Current" stats equal. The golem in the screenshot shows the correct attack (deals the correct damage) and HP. Since Crusader gains attack bonus from the "Full" stats, if it use endow on a blessed pulvy for example, its new stats will be 8|7 instead of 11|7. Also, I'm not sure if there's any other effect other than Crusader. Probably I should rename this thread as "Playing Blessing on AI's creature doesn't give the correct Full stats"? >_<

Blessing works normally if you target your own creature or the AI itself use its own Blessing. I also tested with other buff spells namely Chaos power and Momentum. They both work normally. This also made me believe that this is not intentional. I'm pretty certain this doesn't happen on the previous version, but I could be wrong about this. I'm wondering if this affect PvP as well? It'll be great if someone could test this.

In summary this is not just a visual bug, it's an actual bug. On the other hand, its not like blessing your opponent's creature is a common strategy. So, I guess this is not something really critical.

Ooh! You're right. I just tested it as well. It seems that zanz has changed this in the recent patch. So, right now the only shields unaffected by AM are Wings (if non-airborne) and Gravity shield (if >5 HP). On the other hand, I'm not sure whether this is intended or not... But I do like this change on the dim shield. :D

Most are true, but there some are not quite right. My notes in yellow below.

*Creatures that deal negative damage (due to antimatter) bypass shields and gravity pull.
Not all shields. Specifically three shields behave differently: Dimensional shield (all antimattered creatures), Wings (if the antimattered creature is not airborne) and Gravity shield (if the antimattered creature has more than 5 HP). My explanation is probably flawed, it's better that you test them in the trainer.
You are right on grav shield, but I just tried dim shield in trainer and it does indeed get bypassed. I believe wings will too since it uses the same "miss" mechanic to prevent damage. This is also true for dusk mantle and fog shield which also convert attacks to misses (i've seen this in action many times using a dusk mantle / antimatter / liquid shadow half blood hunter deck). All shields that convert an attack to a miss get bypassed by antimatter.

I'll see if I can confirm congeal / catapult on the trainer and in game. If I'm right i'll post up a snapshot.
Hmm... I'm pretty sure I'm right; unless there were changes in the recent patch, you did something wrong or there's a bug.. again. Unfortunately I don't have the time to test this now. Here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1484.msg167714#msg167714) is a post with screenshots related to what I'm trying to explain.

Most are true, but there some are not quite right. My notes in yellow below.

*Animate weapon and flying weapon will give different weapons different numbers of hitpoints. Titan and pulverizer are the two toughest.
It has nothing to do with Animate weapon or Flying weapon; all weapons have their own specific HP.  ;) You can check the wiki for the details.

*Catapults will deal extra damage for frozen creatures... but for some reason this doesnt seem to work right on creatures hit with congeal, the upped version
It should not. Frozen or congealed creatures will deal the same damage when flung by catapult. The bonus is 50%. If you are sure it doesn't happen with Congeal, take a screenshot and post it in the Report a bug section. >_<

*Creatures that deal negative damage (due to antimatter) bypass shields and gravity pull.
Not all shields. *The guard ability on vanadium warriors will actually heal creatures if the warden has a negative damage value.
Technically, it increased the target creature's max HP. But yeah, it heals them.

*Timing butterfly effect is tricky. The creature can use the destroy ability immediately providing that:
  1) It has not already used an ability this turn
  2) It was not just cast this turn
  3) It has not been lobotomized (I'm not sure on this but I think it will have to wait even if lobotomized several turns ago) Yep, you only have to wait for one turn. This behaviour also applies to Mitosis.

Never thought I'll be saying this or even posting something on the CIA boards, but I think I'm beginning to like this card! :D

I'm also quite surprise that I never read any card ideas similar to this because the mechanic is really simple yet interesting. I don't have any input about the elements or the cost, but IMO the part where "cards with no cost gain +1 cost of their element" is too game-breaking. It can completely stop a typical nova-graboid deck right from the start and despite your claim about duo/mono decks, I'm pretty sure it can hurt those decks too especially the ones which rely on pendulum. Therefore, I would prefer if cards with no cost gain +1 :rainbow cost (any quanta) instead.

General Discussion / Re: Elements Cards Cost

Nice... When I saw that your total cost doesn't match with my card tracking sheet, I was like "crap.. my sheet sux.." Then, I noticed two things:
  • You only count 7 rares in Other. I figure you might intentionally left out Relic here, but as per Dragoon's thread, it is counted in the Standard Edition. But yeah... I think this is all up to your own personal preferences.

  • I'm terrible at explaining things, so taking the pillar/pends example;

    Total cost to buy and upgrade 15 copies of each pillar and pendulum: 562500 + 1170 + 4320 = 567990 (cell E49:H49)

I believe it should be 562.500 + ((1.170 + 4.320) x 2) = 573480 instead; because you need to buy 30 Quantum Pillars before you can upgrade 15 of them. This also applies to the other non-rare non-pillar/pend cards. I believe the grand total cost to have a complete Standard Edition (from scratch) is 2,254,380 :electrum
Nevertheless, I could be wrong in my own calculation too. >_< And I must say I owe you one because if you didn't share this, I wouldn't have noticed there's an error in my sheet for the deflag's price and more importantly a major flaw in one of my formula. ;D

Issue Archive / Re: Arena disallows new deck [unconfirmed]
« on: January 17, 2012, 04:44:25 pm »
Intentional; not a bug. You won't be able to submit a deck with the same oracle card as the current one so you can't submit the same deck again to restore it to full HP and keep it in the Arena.
I could understand that for on the same day, but when there's at least a one-day gap? *shrugs* if another person or so say it's not a bug I guess I'll lock the thread.
Or.. you could just use the search function to find similar threads. tee hee...

[12:56:53] zanzarino: Yep they do

[12:57:45] zanzarino: Otherwise it would be an excuse to rejuvenate the very same deck

Not entirely familiar on Statmasta or how you guys generally do the tests, but why there's not a single EM using SPlat? Also, I'm wondering if the Statmasta is capable of calculating the profit using a deck with >100HP EM (e.g. SPlat)?
