Another reason you might want to play them all at once is that the quanta drain only hits you once, this gives you more time to build up some non- :death quanta if you aren't running mono-death. If you are running mono-death, it could also help if the opponent is using a discord since more quanta overall will mean a better chance of having enough  :death to play a poison, or spider, or whatever.

Speaking of gravity pull, if a creature were grav pulled and then 'stolen,' would the creature attack its self?

I'm glad someone got a screencap of my brief time at #1  :D. I do get to be a little bit proud that I had top decks in gold and platinum leagues, even if they were fire decks. At least my decks were my own making, instead of copying someone else's. My trick was immolation rush plus lots of control to take advantage of double draw as much as possible.

The reason, I believe that fire decks do so well in platinum is the fact that they are helped so much by double draws. Their control cards are cheap and one-off type cards that are boosted by being able to keep the card advantage when used. The creatures are fragile, but when the opponent uses a control card to kill one, they are only helping the arena deck keep card advantage. If they try to use control on a stick, the fire control cards can destroy it very quickly. Add that to the AI making fewer dumb mistakes with fire, and it's no wonder fire dominates.

If sundial could trigger the effect, I think it would make the card too strong because you could play your own sundial to make sure they don't have a successful attack. Just think, play three or four warthogs, then play sundial a few turns in a row to completely wipe out your opponent's permanents.

So we've all given up, huh?
From my experience playing gold, rainbow decks are becoming less and less common. My rainbow killer is becoming less profitable. Fire, gravity and darkness (and looking at the platinum leaderboards, death as well) decks have risen to be the most powerful decks. I don't think that there is a good reason to ban cards if they aren't powering the  best arena decks.

The Arena / Re: Would it be too much to ask?

Contrary to this, I believe that each deck should only be able to be played once in real time, so that fast arena decks get more plays than slow arena decks. It's called unsynchronized pvp, so I thought that battle durations should be taken into account :/
Interesting idea, but sometimes I leave the computer mid game, for like half an hour, before returning to complete the game. I wouldn't want to punish someone's deck just because something popped up IRL. Another problem I could see is a player intentionally leaving a game up for a long time to punish decks they don't like, "another rainbow? I'll show him by leaving this game open all day."

Using it against gold right now, might test it against platinum if I have time tomorrow. Gets EM a good percentage of the time, but it often gets three wins in a row before hitting a duo or mono deck that blows it out of the water before I can get my rare spin. Another Amber Nymph would certainly make the deck less dependent on draws, and I want to upgrade everything (but the nymph) but that would basically wipe out my entire  :electrum reserve.

The Arena / Re: Banning Supernova and Quantum Tower from Arena

This thread seems very strange to me. Lots of people are complaining about how platinum is too hard, or too boring. With conditions like that, I'd think that no one would try to challenge those repetitive decks that constantly beat everyone down so hard. People are surely voting with their feet and playing against the weaker leagues in arena instead of throwing themselves against the same wall repeatedly. Then I pull up the game and I see that everyone is playing platinum and no one is playing gold, so it can't be that bad for everyone. If platinum is too hard for you, you probably should move down to gold. In my experience the gold decks have a better variety and are easier to beat. I was honing my deck last night and was getting EM wins in about half of my games against gold, that's a cool 300 :electrum per game.

I drew fire spirit and this is the deck I used that the #1 rank in gold:
Code: [Select]
4vh 55u 5f0 5f1 5f2 5f2 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f4 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f8 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fc 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5og 74e 7dk 7dq 7ds 7dsDouble draw, double mark, 5 rares and the rest going to HP
214 wins and 19 losses (one of those 19 was to myself) over 5 days. It went through a couple minor changes, between this and where it started.

I figured that a lot of people would have PC en masse, so I made a deck that didn't rely much on permanents making a big part of those decks useless. Deflags to kill shields, rain of fire to kill light generators if they got hope out and the rest of the deck is about causing quick damage. I didn't expect the deck to do so well, so my choice of upgraded cards was mainly based on what cards I'd already had upgraded. Now that 6 days of HP loss have set in, it's time to take it down. Better to burn out than it is to rust.

I found the game through Kongregate. I 'had' to play it to get the Best of 2009 badge, I saved it for last because I wasn't too excited about some card game that required me to make an account somewhere. Long story short is that loved the game and got addicted a few months ago. I've lurked on the boards for a while and got some great decks to fight Fake Gods. I made an account on the boards to note a bug/issue I found in the arena beta. I figured I'd say high here, maybe join the community by writing some words instead of just reading other people's.

*bragging* oh, and I somehow have the #1 ranked gold deck at the time of writing, so I must be doing OK as a mid-level player.

The problem with trying to come up with a deck like this is that as soon as any such deck is posted on the forums or otherwise becomes widely known and used, everyone building their arena decks will specifically design them to counter it.  Arena won't be like AI3 or even FGs where you can find one "best" deck on the forums, copy that, and just keep grinding with it all the time.  Instead, you'll have to be constantly watching what people have made and trying to adapt(as they will of course be watching how successful their decks are at the same time and what the current trends are and trying to adapt THEIR decks).
Exactly. And this is why I don't post my arena decks. It will just make them worse.

I think an unupped Silver farmer is possible though.
Figure out a decent farmer (deck 1), that has an obvious counter (deck 2) then figure out a good counter to the counter (deck 3).
Post deck 1, wait a bit and then use deck 3 to beat all those deck 2's that will be out there. Learn to control the information in order to master the meta-game. Use the profits to upgrade skeletons.
