He's suggesting cards that do not give a kick in the face of teams. Smart team should be able to gain a SMALL benefit from those.
Imo they are war-changing with the same meaning of changing as the one in game-changing. Event as of current are earthquakes (npi), they should be tremors (npi).
Also, another problem of these event cards is that they just overfavor some teams and underfavor others.
Imaginary talk with event card :
''You have a strong upped mono AND have it in your vault? Go on, upped cards.
You don't? Do you have a strong unupped mono/strong cards in your element? Yes? Steamroll with it/them!
No? Well, too bad *kicks team in face*''
Just to follow-up along the lines of what my brief statement meant. There was a discussion a few days ago where people stated in chat that there were certain event cards in the most recent war, War 3, that crippled some teams and allowed others to select late war-changing cards (i.e. Aether's fall from grace and fire's selection of two nightmares towards the end).
