Rainbow Decks / New Nymphomania (anti-FG) with SoR
« on: May 26, 2010, 06:07:48 am »
So I've been playing around with this deck half the night - seems an improvement over the original nymphomania - with SoR, you really only need one tower available to play the NT - SoR -QT key combo.  I also had a nymph queen in here which  helped with Miracle and DG, but the SoG really helps you have a chance with Ferox, FFQ and a couple of the other rush decks - to really have a chance against Life, you need your Pulvy early enough to knock out the bonds. Still refining the game play a bit - you definitely have to know when to drop the towers, and patience can be a virtue - but it's crazy simple.

1) AT/OT/SNova
2) Nymph Tears/QT combo on the AT
3) Nymph Tears/QT on the OT

Other thoughts:

- The SoR makes life a lot easier for quanta gathering as you only need one tower with the NT/SoR/QT combo, and you can hold it in your hand if facing quake/major perm control.  If you have several towers outs, you may not need to SoR.

- Dark Matter is beatable, but use your first NT on the OT, not the AT.... your only creature control is the dark nymph vampire ability, so it has to be out when the gravity nymph drops.

- PA is usually reserved for pulvy, but if your SoR doesn't drop, you can use it on your OT after you've used the NT to protect your quanta.

- I know everyone doesn't have a dark nymph, but it's been helpful because you need a second one on the board in many games.  The antimatters start earlier in the game so by the time you get a dark nymph out, you have multiple antimattered creatures... it's a 32 card deck, so you need damage asap, especially against FG with miracle, so being able to vampire two creatures per turn let's you catch up with all the antimattered creatures.  Also, NT would work here, but the dark nymph gives more flexibility.

Best new card idea - but quick questions -

Does split creature retain a poison status?  If I'm reading it correctly, a virus would split the card on the first turn to take damage - that would split at 1/3, and if deja vu were invoked, there would be 2 1/3 worms... or does it split into 2 1/2 worms after virus?  Do each of the subsequent worms maintain their poisoned status?

In-game Troubleshooting / Smaller Flash Window
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:17:53 am »
Folks - does anyone have the issue where the actually flash window is smaller than normal, with borders around it.  Instead of filling up the whole screen, it's smaller and you can scroll down to a section with a FB ad and other links (the wiki, etc).  Im using Firefox as my browser...

Any help is appreciated

Not that you are time bound as currently constructed, but I was wondering whether there was any reasoning behind the unupgraded Sundials vs. upgraded Sundials.

Deck Help / Re: Anyone want to post an anti-fire PvP deck?

Well, this one I want to beat has now shifted from mono-fire to fire/earth lava golem deck, which just makes me think that i'll bump up the congeals from the water deck and bump down the ice lance...  btw, I'm starting to like water!  After playing a Rainbow to FG farm for so long, it's nice to try something different...

Deck Help / Anyone want to post an anti-fire PvP deck?
« on: March 23, 2010, 01:52:43 pm »
Board newbie here... never really contributed to the forum before, but I have a friend who's been going crazy with his mono-fire deck, upgrading everything.  While I guess you could make the case for aether, mono-fire seems to be the best mono deck in the game, and almost impossible to beat in PvP.  At least for me - so besides using discord to pork the quanta, what would the brilliant minds on the board recommend?
