It might be nice if there are various kinds of "mastery", e.g.:
"Precise Mastery" -- dealing exact damage to end the game

There's really no reason to change colors more than once. Just start with FFQ and keep on playing until you have enough upgrades for a really good Aether deck. If metamorphosis was free then people would keep on experimenting and making different decks instead of sticking with these two, or at least the proper official decks in the Elements Wiki. It would take all the fun out of the game.

If we have to have an extra feature, please can we have autoplay? You just tell the AI that you're playing FFQ, and it would roll the random number generator and tell you how much you've won. This would save a lot of time and let us make a really good Aether deck much faster.

I do think of the fee as a penalty for making a bad deck and as such I think that it's a terrible idea.
I see what you are getting at, but you're implying that experimenting necessitates buying cards. You don't just buy cards all willy nilly, you think of what cards would work together, buy those cards, and experiment with the particulars. If you don't have the foresight to accommodate such a thing then i expect your experimental deck wouldn't be too fruitful anyways :\

Also, you can have various decks without playing too many games, just by using the same cards in different combinations.

Nobody gave a good reason for the fee yet.
There has to be a fee because there was always a fee. I hope you are not that inflexible in reallife.

It encourages you to think through your plan before actually putting it to use.
I understand no one can make the perfect deck with their first try, but you have to be intelligent enough to actually have an idea first before you just try things.

Also, to get away from deck experimentation itself, when you already have a few decks that have different purposes (e.g. coin farming, pvp, false gods, card farming) then most likely you need to switch between marks to use the different decks. The price makes it so you can't switch between each thing without even a little of a repercussion.

You guys are way to whiney about this "waaaah there is a 100 coin fee to switch decks." You're forgetting that every other aspect of this game is directed toward working for your goals; the 1,500 fee for upgrades, the low coin income... the metamorphoses cost just makes your goals that much harder to achieve, which makes them that much better in the end.

Think of the fee as a penalty for making a bad deck. Newbies can't afford cards to make a switch worthwhile anyways, and if you can then the 100 coin fee is chump change.

I think they meant advanced cards like dragons, or other high coin price cards. I certainly would not like to see upgraded cards make their way into booster packs, even at an extremely low chance of obtaining one.
Still, the randomness of it makes it a waste of money, and time to make possible.

Which is why my take on the idea said to introduce cards through booster packs. That way you have a good amount of cards on the bazaar, but then the rarity of new cards from boosters.
Also, there already are 135 cards (I think), so we're not that far off hundreds ;)
Do you think that cards are not already being developed? They'll come out when they're wanted to come out, and making booster exclusive cards would make people angry. If they weren't booster exclusive, then there is no point in having them come out as booster cards.
135 isn't close to hundreds, 200 isn't even close to the amount which i mean.

Well we disagree on it, no point in arguing.

And i'm aware that '200' is hundreds, but 800 and 1400 is hundreds as well, 200 is an infinitesimally small amount of 100s, the smallest of them all as a matter of fact  ;)

I hate to say it, but booster packs are a horrible idea.
 If the OP is using advanced cards as upgraded, then they would cost a ridiculous amount of money; using the bronze, silver, gold idea (with 5 cards in each):
Bronze - would cost a minimum of 100 coins for pretty bad cards that you may or may not find useful
Silver - would cost a minimum of 3500 coins for still chance cards
Gold - would cost probably 6000 couns, and ruin the fun of getting rares from games.

Terrible idea. No one would spend money for random cards when they cards specifically for their deck. Boosters would be cool, ONLY if there were hundreds of available cards, with the low card amount, you really need a lot of the same card for a solid strategy. This would only be wasting coins for a disappointing suprise, and would ruin the games semi-harsh economy even more, either in a surplus of rares, coins being literally wasted, or both.
