Politics / Re: Democracy vs. Constitutionalism in the U.S.
« on: March 29, 2011, 01:23:49 pm »
My premise is that they are in some way fundamentally opposed.  Obviously, the U.S. government incorporates both ideas.

At its core, the idea of democracy is that the government does what the people tell it to do.  The people, at least a majority of people, are the ultimate power.  A constitution usurps this power and replaces it with itself.  In the United States, if a majority of people want to do something that goes against the Constitution, that majority of people is stuck following the rules that a bunch of dead guys made up 220 years ago.  We could amend the Constitution, but we'd have to follow their rules in order to do so (and it's hard!).  Why should we listen to those dead guys?  Why should their thoughts have any power over us?  Isn't that idea fundamentally undemocratic?  Would you want to live in a country where a bunch of dead guys didn't have that power?*

I thought this might be a nice, non-partisan discussion point.

If you're not from the U.S., or just know something about Constitutional democracies elsewhere, feel free to chime in. I just don't know enough about them to feel comfortable making assertions about the way other countries work.

*I am not in any way claiming any of the above ideas as original to me.  They are not.

You are waaaaaay wrong of what democracy is mate...

Religion / Re: What Religion Are You Interested In?

yeah they have also given films a great genre to be exploited! God bless the Greeks and the Egyptians ;D
Well since i am Greek and i am pretty familiar with Greek Mythology which is not only about Olympic gods
If what you know for Greek mythology is from movies and series most of the things you learned are wrong.
One of the biggest "crimes" of Greek mytholgy (reffering to lets say serious movies with huge budget) was TROY with Brad Pitt.
A small example? He didnt even manage to get in Troy....

played 30 games so far in trainer, 26 wins versus AI3 i think it probably can do around 50% in Top 50 as other rushes maybe? Due to lack of time cause of my work some testing, suggestions for improvements or everything
would be appreciated.Dont know if there are similar decks out there (probably yes) sorry if yes but i dont have much time checking forums all the time.Thanks...

One thought for modification is adding 2 sanctuaries and replacing dunno maybe one blessing and one damsfly

Rainbow Decks / Re: Dragon-Bow Speed AI5 EM

The only modification i made to the deck is that i took out arctic dragon and placed 2 permafrost shields which are
life saviors in many cases (at least helped ME a lot ) and also added a massive dragon which i PU sometimes
so to be sure when i play chimera and cant kill opponent in one turn, but use her so i have her as shield next turn in case perma is destroyed or not drawed yet.
In anycase GREAT deck, played 50 games so far, 42 wins with 31 EM's, with my modifications though, winrate before was lower cause in my opinion perma is really needed. And people keep in mind the deck is not fully upped cause i dont have the coins yet to fully up it, that makes the deck even greater dont you think??

Here's what i use

Guys i am using rasta's version and its veeeeery cool.Pretty fast and effective for false gods.
I am skipping poison using gods everyone else is playable and outcome of games is pretty fast,
like rol/hope decks. Also pretty effective for ai3 , top50 and half bloods as well. ALL in ONE with this deck.

P.S. Not exacttly rasta's cause cloacks and all dragons are unupgraded! ! !
GREAT JOB TOBI thanks a ton!!!
