Deck Help / Re: What the hell kinda deck can I make with a
« on: July 09, 2011, 09:32:00 pm »
Quantum Towers are to fuel the nymphs I create.
This is more of a stall deck, as most silver/gold farmers are speed bows.
for my personal taste not reliable enough...e.g. your opponent is spamming creatures and you create gold, light, death and gravity nymphs...imho your stalling abilities will become better if you focus on certain nymphs (like fire or entropy)

inundations are worthless, imo. a speedbow will already kill you with his first row...

Some thoughts/questions:

1. How are you going to kill your opponent? I dont see any reliable damage source?
2. Why Inundations?
3. Quantum Towers for a Duo deck seems very random...

I personally would recommend that you check on the abilities of various nymphs and go for a duo/trio with nice synergies...I personally really like purple or red...

so much for the start

The Arena / Re: Very few Fights in Arena?

I disagree...imo rewards are already really good.

Comparison:

imho gold is a bit easier then FGs:

gold:
cost: 15
win: around 120

FG: cost 30
win: 60

sure, you get upped spins with FGs...but its not that impossible to win 4 gold in a row...and special spins really have high chance of winning a upped card

imho silver is a bit harder then Half-Blood

silver: 15
win: around 60

HB: cost 20
win: 40

so if you fight arena, even if you only get a special win occasionally, you will already make quite some decent gold.

maybe top400...not sure about this solution, though...if we cut the number of active decks, it probably will become more frustrating for average deck builders as mediocre decks will drop out quite fast?

Anyway: ty for bring it up into 1.28x :)

Here's the thing -- that's about average.  There was a short frenzy of activity in the first few days when the Arena was shiny and new, but that's over now.  Really, with 2000 decks between the 4 leagues, it's not a huge surprise when a deck only gets 8 plays/day -- there's simply not that many people even playing Elements in the first place.  Particularly in Silver League and Gold League; everyone's playing Bronze for the easy rares or Platinum for the quick rares.
Ty, that explains it.

Should this be a topic for balancing?

I start wondering if there are some hidden penalties for modifying your deck or cashing in the electrum...?

My deck has been active for almost 48 hours...and only 17 fights...i wonder how all you guys manage to achieve these high numbers of fights??

btw: the deck is still in the top500, you more fights should come?!

Hmmm, i gave this a try in gold league and perhaps im not playing it right...but it performed not nearly as well as a slightly modified version of tinkadys winged speedbow (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9001.msg114415.html#msg114415)

My experiences:

- the deck sacrifices some speed damage for mid to late game control (e.g. fire shield, elite queen are more useful the longer the game lasts)
-> i lost some games without the chance of playing more expensive cards

- the deck lacks a bit PC, so annoying stuff like shields slow you down enough to allow stall decks to set up their defenses
-> quite a number of stall decks feature a number of steals themselves, reducing the value of your own shields

- against other speedbows the deck lacks early defenses
-> bone wall + maxwell is great, but maxwell is the only way to kill creatures, thus not really reliable

Still, i think it is an interesting approach and a nice deck... but i personally think something like this might be a bit better (though i havent done enough testing to prove my opinion)...well, at least thats the I personally prefer atm. Wings plus spiders just works great ;):

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 713 713 745 77g 77g 7ah 7dm 7dm 7dq 7gv 7ju 7n8 7n8 7q5 7t9 7tb 80a 80a 80g

Octane / Re: Oracle : Octane
« on: February 05, 2011, 12:18:16 pm »
1) I didnt test that deck above.
2) Its probably doing ok most of the time, as the reflective shields combined with an occasional antimatter a doing great against octane

But i dont think that it is more reliable then the entropy/life duo...but again, as i didnt test it, thats just a guess.

It met Octane yesterday and made my own deckout version. It was doing fine, but forgot to put the angels in, so lacked a single card to deck him out^^ Anyway, here is a new idea to deck Octane out (contains some rares/upped):

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 5lg 5lg 5lg 5lg 5lg 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u7 6u7 7ju 7ju 7k2 7k2
Reasons why to use light instead of life:
1) The mirror shields are just MUCH faster then Jade/emerald shields...so you will take fewer hits from the US.
2) The SoGs keep you alive pretty well...Octane only has 4 Explosions, so 2 will stay forever and some will stay for a pretty good while...
3) The Archangels are quite well fitted to draw his bolts and may even survive mor then one hit.
4) Miracles are superior to heals

Quanta balance may still be a bit off...might have to replace some pendulums with amethyst pillars

Gemini / Re: Oracle : Gemini

Just discovered the main problem of the nymphomania/AM/LS deck idea...you need to leave one phase recluse normal, so that gemini will TU it...or you need 1-2 heavy hitters he might TU...just decked out, cause there werent enough creatures to AM/LS...

Religion / Re: Can Religion and Science Coexist?
« on: January 30, 2011, 01:24:58 pm »
Yes, they can coexist...they already DO?!

There will always be some points, where both will disagree on...evolution is just the most recent topic. But if you are willing to listen and trying to understand each other, you will come to some agreement...

The point where it really gets touchy, is when they try to invade into each others domain...science cant really be a religion and shouldnt be preachy and religions cant really be scientific. Belief and Science are simply to different things.

Religion / Re: Evolution Questions
« on: January 26, 2011, 08:14:30 pm »
My point lies in how evolution is treated. It is treated as a fact by many. I dont consider it a fact, I consider it a theory.
I didnt follow all posts during this (and the many other) discussions, but im curious about a thing:

How should a theory, that hasnt been disproven but has many, many supporting elements, be treated?
