every time i got a special spin, i actually won a rare.
but yeah, i totally hate it if i get a card on the first spin because it will probably be some really useless rare

Its too damn fragile against immorushes. There are too many Phoenixs in Bronze now.
My version: Siphon Life > Phoenix rush... especially if you can manage to get pests out and stall for vamps - and you can pull a quite far win (about 70 hp+) with a good draw. However, i do admit that I've also lost to many immorushes with this deck.

Deck Help / Re: Grabbix Variation for Arena

Yeah, the term "variation" is a bit loose.
I do realize I actually get pretty high on earth quanta, maybe switching to 6 golems completely might be it.
Were graboids that useful? I didn't find it to be THAT effective. Why 6 immos to 4 photons? what else to immolate? Gnome riders are actually useful, right?
idioticidiot still idiotic! good job!

Deck Help / Grabbix Variation for Arena
« on: November 21, 2011, 11:43:29 am »
I'd much rather if this was a streak based deck instead of a consistent deck-- 80% winrate where you are sure to lose once every 5 games isn't that helpful for me (not sure whether we can make it a more "risky" deck that will get streaks more often-- also getting to 4-6 rings and losing is really frustrating). I'm aiming this at silver level, but I doubt that will work and will probably do it in bronze instead.
The idea is that this deck can take on any kind of deck, but not necessarily effective. I also want it to be pretty fast, but it doesn't have to be one of those 7 TTW decks. People say they've had lots of luck with grabbix in silver arena, and I decided to modify it a little. I started with a graboid rush like usual, but with lots and lots of editing (and the immo nerf which drove me nuts) I eventually settled with a phoenix/golem combo that doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever but seems to work... This is the deck:

Will be adding more stats soon. In the meantime, any advice? (RoL is there because i'm trying to save up for RoL+Hope, decided to be recourceful!)

Deck Help / Re: Non-Immo Lava Golem Rush Deck
« on: August 31, 2011, 12:32:51 am »
Personally, I like the idea of getting a lava golem/destroyer, growing it for a couple of turns then twin/parallel universing it, im trying to test it now but im not kidding when I say on my current game my first destroyer was my 13th card. Only for it to be turned into an abomination immediately.
bad luck, my friend. :(

So far, with the phoenix's I've been at 86-14 (86% winrate) but the thing i've noticed is that against CC phoenix and golems are about the same in total end damage anyways, i mean they both have 1 HP and the phoenix costs more at the start so in a short-ish game lasting about 8 turns (i'm just throwing that number out) a phoenix can get out, get killed, rebirth'd, and won, it's not too much higher than out, killed... especially if you can get double the amount of golems as you can phoenix's.

This works out pretty well in arena too. However, for arena do we want imms or spiders? (i am an extreme noob with almost no upgrades who just so happens to know that spiders upped are my friend)

I was 41-9 with this deck, a 82% winrate, but so far my phoenix version has been 17-3, a 85% winrate. I'll test it out some more but I think the phoenix version is a bit faster (I didn't record the times cuz i'm sometimes afk and stuff) so thanks for the suggestion :)

Just an idea that popped into my head-- you're not using time quanta at all, adding in 2-3 golden hourglasses all help as this isn't a deck-out deck and therefore in theory speeding it up in any way possible is a good idea. I haven't actually tested it though, so don't kill me if I screw you up :P

Deck Help / Non-Immo Lava Golem Rush Deck
« on: August 05, 2011, 05:25:15 pm »
I've been on this idea for weeks-- I want a build that does NOT feature immo's for my lava golems, just for a touch of originality on arena/pvp. So far I've come up with a reasonable deck with 44 wins and 10 losses (81.5% winrate) against AI3 and has a ttw of 8.318. Maybe making it faster would work-- I haven't tested many different pillar/pend combinations, although I do realize this deck is a little :fire heavy, but it goes well with my fahrenheit and the fire bolts which are for CC'ing the steam machine/fire spirits that the ai3 can throw out, OR to deal a last bit of damage near the end of the game since 2-3 fire bolts can deal just enough damage for you to win on that turn. Saved my life a couple of times, too.

Hi,

According to this 60 is the maximum you can inflict with the catapult:

http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Catapult
Not if the creature is frozen. Unless I'm mistaken, frozen creatures deal 30% more damage? If the base damage is 45, it deals almost 60. 6 Basilisk Bloods have 120 add to Armagio's 25, which is 145 and therefore 50 damage + 30% = 65 damage, over 60. But maybe I'm wrong with my math.

Deck Help / Re: Fractal Lava Golem
« on: August 04, 2011, 07:13:45 am »
From the 12 games so far that I've tested I've realized it's really low on :earth after fractal-- will add that around somewhere. Also, Maxwell's Demon is a pain. I might add some CC and take out a few fractals.

You have 3 fractals and you want to take out a few.
I was thinking of my old version that had 6. Ups!  ^-^
I love Hodari and Dwerg's idea btw. Thanks :)
