Ah nothing more annoying then going to battle with a hopeless deck and then actually coming close to winning.
I obviously had a very hard time pulling my 9-13 quanta cards with so few pillars, when he was earthquaking/discording me.
Second game i believe he had a sickly bad draw.
Third game i decided to fractal a devourer hoping to halt his progress (and i had no vamp anyways) but even 7 of my little pests couldnt reach his key quantas.
A second fractal could have saved the day for me but it never came.
GG SnoWeb.

goddamn. so mad now. lost 1-2.
i thought the matchup was totally hopeless (see decks...i barely had aether pillars and he was earthquaking with me stuck with cards like fractal and phase dragon)
and then i beat him game2 (just a few vamps and a stilletto and a very long game), and in the final game i had 9 devourers down and a vamp and tons of quanta of both types and was waiting for the 2nd fractal to pop up (when the first one fractal came i didnt have a vamp yet and meh...i wanted to get the combo going so i frac-d the devourers. it makes sense coz otherwise i wouldnt have enough dark quanta for vamp rush anyways) he would have been totally hopelessly smoked if it comes up. but it was one of the 10 cards i had left in the deck when i lost.
duh so annoying. would have been a big thing to win with this deck .

guys, my opponent SnoWeb has really crappy inet connection for the weekend. So to avoid a chain of desyncs we agreed to schedule the game to monday morning 9'o clock GMT. just saying because ppl always send me worried pms when i get it done on the last day :)

first of all i wanted to thank thraexis for helping me test decks a bit tonight. sorry for dissapearing all of a sudden mate, but my phone would not stop ringing...

anyhow i think that my chanches of winning are really low so i am totally willing to play some leftover deck, because it would be silly if someone else could not build a deck for some more hopeful match because i used up the cards.

i also realized that the earlier deck i posted is "illegal" because i have miracle in it (i thought we still have one...)
but i still think a rainbow blessed-vampdagger deck might work. with a few dim shields. if we can spare these.
but seriously make other decks a priority over mine this round imho for the team's sake.

okay. i realized that there is a lot of ppl wanting those poisons this round so i dont.

most entropy decks i have seen dont have a lot of permament control so i was thinking about some really weird rainbow stall. this is just an idea below i tested in the trainer. actually beats ai3 :)
obv could be improved. anybody wanna test this /w me after like 9'o clock gmt+1 tonight?

remark: i only have 3 vamp stillettos so atm cant put more in my deck. will try to grind myself a fourth one just in case.

or as an alternative some of our usual darkness based decks since we have a lot of darkness cards now anyways.

so i was thinking we start with something like this:

Code: [Select]
5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5uq 5uq 5ur 5ur 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a
but we remove the dusk mantle maybe and a vamp, and replace 2 pendulums with pillars and add 2-3 dim shields maybe?
otoh it might be too discordable without novas.
not sure, let me know what you think is viable. (and what we have cards for)
gotta go to work now. will be around at night for discussion/testing.

is this hopeless vs entropy?
can we afford this?

edit: sorry this is idiotic i cant afford 13 quanta monsters vs the little discorders. still think poisoning is a good idea, plus poisons and arsenic are low cost toys. let me think a bit more

sorry guys, i was totally countered. he came with a death-life(!) deck. no poisons so my purify was wasted, no critters with skills so my flayers were wasted, and spines, so my immortal creatures wasnt immortal at all.
ah and heals on the top of it.
ah well, bad luck i suppose.

grats to all the winners! pretty good round 'cept this little fumble of mine :)
Completely not your fault.  Thorn Carapace and Heals would have counter almost any deck we can throw at them.
heh yeah.
why i called thorn carapace "spines" in my post though it is interesting :)
prolly from some other pc game i cant think of at the moment.

guys, no need for sub. i contacted my opponent days ago, we just couldnt arrange the duel for any earlier point then today. It will commence in a few min.
I understand you were worried, but if i ever cant make a duel in time for whatever reason i will always post it here at the beginning of the round.
anyhow. lets hope it will go well.

hey sorry for not replying all day i had a ton of work. i checked the earlier matches we had vs darkness, and some of their other matches. I was going to suggest to give the deck from this match http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,15146.0.html.
But I understand we might not have the cards for this and the deck you guys suggested is a similar idea anyways.
(Btw thanks for setting it up.)
