Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Oracle: Upgrade

Why not just increase the potential amount of  :electrum the oracle can give you? Seems like the simple solution.

Buff This Card! / Re: Schrödinger´s Cat
« on: September 09, 2011, 03:00:19 pm »
Depends on how the mechanic is worked, if it can basically ignore damage dealt it would simply be buffed if it survives.
Alternatively it might just ignore the action in which case it doesn't get buffed if it survives.

I vote for 50% of not dying, and every time it's saved from death, it reset to "just summoned" status, resetting buff and stats.
This solves the Rage Potion problem.
That's a bit on the weak side, I personally would like the idea of gambling for a buff, 50 % chance isn't going to let you live forever.

I just thought of an idea to help this out. Give a passive skill called Nine Lives.
Nine Lives: the idea is that it can survive death 9 times. we could give this to any future cats that make it into game.
i need hep with the details
That is way to powerful, just imagine the kitty with wings(butterfly) surviving 9 attacks, I can already see the horror.
BTW if it can survive any attacks.... 9 lives.... 6 bottles of rage.....win?

Besides its not even in the theme of the card, 50% to not die seems more fair.

By changing it so that quantum is accumulated at the beginning of a turn, you would prevent a complete shutdown of that persons ability to play a card.
+1 for this.
No. If they can't play a card, then either they have no pillars (this won't help them) or they have been hit by a quanta denial card such as devourer. Why would you make this change just to spite quanta denial; which is an amazing aspect of this game?
Quanta denial is not an amazing aspect of the game, its the most HORRIBLE aspect of this game.
From a game design standpoint denying the ability of a player to play is the absolute worst you can do.
It also adds to the hard counter aspect of the game.
If by transforming this mechanic of the game some cards get weaker, there is no problem since we can just buff them accordingly or rework them.

the game is unbalanced and grindy by its very nature, due to most upgrade cards being strictly better than non upgraded cards.  its as much a part of the game as strategy vs tactics is.  yes a lot of the game is determined by how you and your opponent built your deck and the majority of the rest is determined by the draw.  that is what the game is, and its nice to have something to mindlessly click while watching tv (after spending some amount of time designing the deck).  as more cards are added (especially creatures with targeting abilities), this will get better though
And so the wrong mentality perpetuates...
And no creatures aren't going to help you since there is a motherload of CC in this game.

Buff This Card! / Re: Mitosis | Mitosis
« on: September 08, 2011, 03:58:29 pm »

What do you think? for me, it's underpowered, should cost random quanta. Suitable for  :rainbow decks. I tried a Mitosis/Golem Duo but it was not fast enough,  then i tried a Phase Recluse/mitosis deck, a firefly/mitosis, and everything failed. :'(

What do you think?
Its not the card's fault you suck at using it. And makes absolutely zero sense as an  :rainbow cost card.
