Crucible Archive / Re: Plumy Cultist | Plumy Priest

would it also stack with dive? so a wyrm with 5 attack is 'fletched', then dives, it goes to 20 attack temporarily? Also, is 'plumy' a word? I think 'plumed' is the adjective.
Right now, it would probably be 20 damage as the Dive mechanic isn't perfect. But that isn't what I want as I prefer that the Dive would work like an additional 'Fletching': the attack will only temporarily increase to 10.

And plumy is the right word, i couldn't find a single dictionary that said plumed. ;)

Only 18 cards? Wasn't the discussion in the chat about 24 cards, where 12 cards are creatures, 6 cards spells and 6 cards permanents?
Or do you use a different system?

And is there a fixed minimal value that makes sure that the card won't be removed from the poll?

The play costs of the Cultist are the only thing that won't change. ;)

But like I said in the OP, the ability cost will decrease. But right now, I'm not sure if I should increase the damage done or if I only should increase the stats.
My idea is that increase the ability damage to 7 and that I increase the attack by 2.

edit: I changed the card:
* decreasing the ability cost by 1
* increasing the attack of the Cultist by 1, by 2 for the Priest
* increased the damage of the ability from 5 to 7

Hi,
here is the second duo element Cultist. He creates a direct synergy between  :light and  :fire. The card is a little bit weak as I didn't change the old idea when i created the card. But I think that the ability cost will decrease to 1 :fire and I will increase the stats at the end.

The art isn't perfect. I would prefer a burning armor or something similar.

I think it's ok that it isn't the best source for death triggers. To have it as good source is enough to create a nice synergy.

The problem with balancing the damage of the 'images' is that the best source of images would be creatures with a growing attack (Ablaze, Growth, Scavanger). It would be to strong, when I let it copy the full attack.
Another possibility would be that I add a fixed value to the attack. It would be stronger with weaker creatures and it would make multiple imaging possible. (Photon->the image 1 has X attack -> target image 1 -> image 1 has 3/2X attack ->->...)
The last things I could change are the ability cost and the stats of the Cultist. It's the way i would prefer as it easier to balance and you wouldn't create new problems with the 'images'.

edit: I will change the name from Phase Cultist to Shifting Cultist. Is there something or somebody that speaks against this change? Or has somebody a better name?

keep in mind that you dont have to change the card every time someone says something is wrong with it. what i always do when i make a card is wait till i get at least 5 people who agree on one and only one alteration to the card, then i do it
I know, but it's easier to get reactions when you change the card. The problem is that a few people only look at the card and don't read the suggestions about the card. I had this problem a few times and that's why i prefer to change the card when I think that the new version is the better.
And the idea isn't in the Crucible, so it's only more work for me. ;)

I changed the description as it says more about the balancing as the description of the card. :)

@Girlsgeneration: Yes, Entropy and Darkness have an existing synergy with Lykanthropy. But that's why I choose this 2 elements as I wanted to improve this bond.
As I said, Gravity would be possible too, as it has a similar card with Gravity Pull. But it doesn't fit the theme as good as Darkness does. That's why I stick with Darkness for now, hoping that people like the Darkness costs more then Gravity.  ;)

Ok, I thought it would be enough when you had to target the creature, too.
But I can change it so that you only can target your own creatures.

The problem is that it would weaken the protection against Devour (you could only target a poisonous creature). That's why I think about to change a mechanic that the abilities and spells will target the creatures and that they can fail when the target is immune. Quint or the Quint-Ability would remove the ability from the monster so that you wouldn't gain a perfect protection.

Only usable on your own creatures?
No, you can use it against your opponents creatures, too.  ;)
And the spells and abilities of both players will target the creature with 'Scapegoat'.

Hi,
this card is the first Cultist with ability costs from a different element as the play costs. The ability is something like a Gravity Pull for spells and abilities.

As some people tend to ignore the Notes:
Details to the ability:
1) You can only target your own creatures with Scapegoat. But abilities and spells from both players target the 'Scapegoat'.
2) The targeting screen won't change! The target will change after you choosed your target.
3) Only one 'Scapegoat' at the same time.
4) The 'Scapegoat' status will removed when the creature becomes immortal through Quint or the Immortality ability.
5) Every spell or ability will target the 'Scapegoat'. When the creature can't be affected, the ability or spell will fail. Example: You use 'Scapegoat' on a Angel with 6HP. An Oty with 3HP uses Devour. The Devour target the Angel and fails.
6) The targeting of spells like RoF will change as long as the creature is alive. Example: The Scapegoat has 28HP, then the RoF will hit the Scapegoat instead of the first 10 creatures in the targeting order (should be the same as the attack order).

@unit: Yes, making a creature with low cost isn't easy. That's why I try different version of the card and look what the people think about it.

@essence: Why is it op right now? The upped version of the previous version was stronger (2|1 with 0 cost Dive) and you had no problem with it. Yes, it is stronger as the other 1 quantum cost creatures like Ash Eater as it has an additional offensive ability. But it's when you want to use it, it isn't stronger as the older version as you can't easily boost it while using only a 2 element deck.
And the cost of 3 :air would make the card useless. Nobody would pay it only to get a 4|1 for 1 turn.

@crimsonflippa (and Essence): When I would increase the cost to  :water :water, then I need to increase the stats, too. As puppy said, the Frog is stronger.  :life can even boost the attack of the frog, while you need a 3rd element to boost the attack of the Flying Fish.

@Snopel: The production card wouldn't change, that the ability of the fish would be useless as nobody would use it. And 25hp for 7 :water and creature generating ability is op.

Nice idea, but I asked you a question about it in the chat and i don't remember that you had answered:
Remains the 'charge' when the weapons flys or does the weapon lose it like PA?

Another question is, what happens when I play a second Soulsteel for the same weapon:
Will the old remain or removed or will the stronger boost activated?
